All they would have to do to test the claim that

The question would them become a matter of validating
the age and creation of the materials in the database.
If it could be proven that the evidence existed in
another form prior to being found on that users machine,
that might be enough of a statement to dismiss the claim
that the material was artificially digitally rendered.
Some training could also be given to investigators to

"Obviously this won't apply to all the data on the disk. "
How do you know that? What mechanism is in place to stop it from
appling to all the data? Even if what you say is true, that means
all it takes is one 3LL3T HaXOR to create something that "protects"
random files from porting by taking advantage of this mechanism.
One of the underlying issues with this proposal is that representatives of
the 4C companies have admitted that they haven't even considered the
effect of this on legitimate uses for maintaining some portability
in the data (backup, file/disk management utils, RAID and other disk
abstraction services).
CPRM is a half-baked solution to a psuedo-problem, and unless 4C can
(a) better define the problem, or (b) come up with a more complete solution,
it will continue to be met with the skepticism it seems to deserve.
Palm OS lisencees are allowed to share in
each others developments. Hence, Palm can
gain USB technology originally developed
by Handspring, and Handspring, Sony, TGR,

porting of the OS to ARM.
I hope this new version also addresses some of the other design limits of
the current Palm OS such as:
the 4k Memo limit
the lack of a standard interface to link data points from the basic apps together
(such as linking the note fields from datebook and todo lists with the notebook app)
I really like my Palm device, and I admire its simplicity, but even without
comparing against other PDAs I think Palm Inc is overdue on making the underlying
OS a little more powerful and flexible. Particularly in light of the remaining
challenges of PocketPC and PSION, and the new designs of Linux-based PDAs.

In "Magic girl / Idol" shows, as much emphasis can be placed on the fashion

What you do not see is all the styles of anime and manga
influences that get left behind in Japan, because only
the "popular to western eyes" stuff gets carried over
commercially. Many titles that are made popular over
here look the same as the last best seller, because the
distributors are looking specifically for something that
will have the same appeal to their market as the last title.
Sometimes that even occurs as an opposite to a shows Japanese
popularity - "Battle Angel Alita" is considered to have had
a much more favorable response in the west than it did in
Japan, becuase the character designs were so different than
other popular efforts of its time.
Two of the great factors that are often missed in other peoples
perception of anime are one: That much of the character designs
are influenced by over a thousand years of established Japanese
paintings and drawing; and that much of the artistic style is designed to
be familiar to modern Japanese, one of the most homogenous societies
on present day earth. Because of factors like these, to a viewer that
has only a limited exposure to anime, it does all look the same. But,
as ones exposure increases, one can see the greater degrees of artistic
style, and understand the subtler nuances that are applied for effect on
a given storyline.
To say they all look the same, is kind of like saying all C code looks
the same...
Different anime OVAs, Movies, and series also reflect different trends
and fads that can affect artistic styles over the years.
Compare AstroBoy and Kimba the White Lion to Neon Genesis Evangelion
and Akira for examples of how styles change over many generations.
A better example might be the original Bubblegum Crisis vs. BGC 2040,
which is a retelling of the original story with some radical variations
in character design (at least it seems that way to many fans).
It is as easy for a fan to tell anime from the 70's, 80's, and 90's as it
is for us to tell popular music from the same timeframes.
For some anime fans, it is those subtle differences within the greater detail
that can make anime more compelling than what is seen as a haphazard style
in Hannah-Barbera. And it provides for an even more jarring experience when
that fan is faced with a suddenly distinct new artistic style.
Just as a fan of modern art can respond differently from a Van Gogh to a
Manet, so too does an anime fan from Ranma 1/2 to the Vision of Escaflowne.
What seems now to be a new trend in anime is to move away from the "cartoonish"
elements of character design, and to make the characters look either more
consistently 'human', or more generally Japanese in appearance.
Serial Experiments Lain, City Hunter, Perfect Blue, The Princess Mononoke,
and even Key the Metal Idol all base powerful storylines (more or less) on
the idea that these are regular people thrust into very unusual circimstances.
As for the most recent example I can think of as "diversity" in character design,
see if you can get your hands on a copy of Excel Saga. They use just about
every major character design ever thought up to effect in that series,
and thats just the first episode.

I've seen otherwise innocuous search engine hits come up against a script that is designed to fool
the search into thinking it is being fed back
the keywords the user was looking for. This
is used as a front end for scam and sex sites
alike.
I would still like to propose the creation of both.XXX and.SEX domains;
but I disagree that any sites should be required to house thier domains there.
Instead, the clearly pornographic sites (those that deem themselves to be
of an sexual nature that would normally be subject to screening
only by adults over the age of 18) should be encouraged to migrate their
domains into the.XXX TLD category - at no additional fee for transfer.
This will act both to allow the domain change without oversight by some
faceless bureaucrat(s); and will give the porn-meisters a better way of
focusing their marketing efforts to an audience that is both interested
and able to pay for thier services. In addition AFAIK, the XXX can be
internationally identified with a specific level of adult activity
(aside from those who still count with Roman Numerals), whereas SEX
is more ambiguous between different cultures, social groups,
and educational levels.
The.SEX domains then, can become open to areas of discussion on sexual
health and education that may not in themselves be seen (by some groups)
as pornographic. PlannedParenthood.sex, STD.sex, and even DrRuth.sex
could become respected alternatives which can provide more in-depth advice
for adults, while still allowing for both parental discretion, and providing
an educational resource thru the standard.com pages.
I realize there will still be opportunites for abuse, but I'd think that

The first reason I thought I wouldn't enjoy it was because I had been seeing promos for well over a year telling me how it was the next great step in animation... actually, from the first promos I saw I didn't even get the impression that it was animated, that's how far the hype was ahead of the substance.
Another reason is because Hollywood, and western animation to a large degree, is still in that phase where presentation takes a higher priority than the need to establish a solid plot, consistent storyline, and good character development. TAE actually made an attempt at this, but I don't think they allowed enough time in the film to carry these factors thru. That is an inherent problem with Summer Blockbuster films in general, with the X-Men being a good example of how to work around such issues to still bring a good story thru.
The third reason is becuase I (and a significant portion of the target market) have gotten used to the idea that animation can be more than strange characters and creatures in the background, with the clueless humans saving the day thru a combination of dogged determination and sheer luck. As an anime fan, I consider myself biased in this regard; but even if I wasn't, I would have to hold TAE up in comparison to the Toy Storys, Bugs life's, and even Pokemon, to see if it was worth the full price of admission.
All in all, I went in expecting mind-candy, and I got great mind-candy as a result. I think Fox was aiming for a higher audience expectation overall, and that may have been a failing in hyping the movie. But, I'll still take Gune over Jar-Jar anyday.
