    By voting for third party candidates and even 20% of the vote it makes incumbent parties nervous. What they do then is incorporate some of that platform the third party was using and solidify the power again. The republicans are dealing with this right now with the tea party platform and having a hard time reconciling with their true base with this off shoot; it is a balancing at that is interesting to watch.

    A certain amusement park still used Windows 3.1 with some AMX/Panja touch screens to control it's audio for parades. This was back in 2002 but I didn't foresee them changing anything anytime soon.

    There's a certain community that has never trusted banks and never will. This was before the recent collapse, before the savings and loan in the 80s too.

    There are still people who take a physical check from work, get it cashed and hold on to the bills in a safe spot instead of an account at a bank.

    I work at a counter of sorts as well. I'm not sure if you can.. but what I do is I just walk away while looking them straight in the eye and slowly turn away. Then they refocus on the opportunity that they are about to lose (their time) and make the order. It's like taking a bone away from a medium to small size dog -- if you didn't have their attention before you do now.

    Maybe maybe not. Send the command and your still guilty of destroying evidence in an ongoing investigation. Your partially screwed if you have something to hide and send the command they can still stick it to you (just not for what they originally intended). However, if you do have nothing to hide and you send the command to wipe you just buried yourself for no reason.

    And then the pilot hits the autopilot lock in for nearest landing spot (for safety) and passenger sleeping gas button. Cabin is neutralized. Plane lands SWAT team + Steven Seagal rescue the plane.

    The difference here is that if it fails (nuclear), the options of fixing it afterward are greatly hampered due to the area now being contaminated (limiting the time that humans can be exposed to the area now). The nuclear option should be the last option used after other methods have been exhausted.

    I'm not opposed to nuclear but I do want to be careful with how it is used.

    The lone wolf series was probably the best of the bunch. The I agree with you though about the classic turn your own adventure series. Those were garbage.     Please do not say children have no rights in schools, it is patently incorrect to spread that view. That view gets us into situations like that one girl who was stripped searched and made to expose herself to a nurse during the search for a tylenol.

    Child's may have called it right but he should have used his attorney, if he even used one, more strategically the moment he was arrested. Everything should have been proxy-ed(sp?) through his attorney. Or his attorney just grossly mismanaged access to his client. IANAL but I can see the obvious.

    You are not required to have ID in Cal. As some one posted above you do not need to identify yourself since Cal does not have a stop and identify law. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_and_Identify_statutes#States_with_.E2.80.9Cstop_and_identify.E2.80.9D_statutes The only thing you better do is not lie about your identification since you can be charged for that.

    I had the same experience in Italy. We even went so far as to go to the police office in the airport to be sure. I think they were annoyed we even found the office.
