You're right, PJ moderates and deletes posts.

But you fail to see why. Groklaw is not Slashdot. Groklaw is about a job that needs to be done.

If you try to disrupt that, your posts will be deleted.

Besides that, saying that PJ calls people trolls based on a difference of opinion says more about you then it does about PJ. Or, put in other words, you're lying.

And i think you're right about the insurance thing. It's ridiculous.

While i don't agree to the comparison to nazi's, i agree with the fact you are working for an unethical company.

    Because:
SCO is unwilling to prove what they say.
SCO is unwilling to minimize damages.
SCO is trying to steal the works of others.

If you keep working there, you are somehow agreeing to the terms, which means you think you can prosper from working at SCO. So you are in fact going to get paid by other peoples labour.

You ARE unethical, and blinded by greed if you can't see what's happening.

  10. Re:One attorney;s opinion on New Survey Finds No Linux 'Chill' From SCO Suit · · Score: 1, Insightful

Even if (BIG IF) SCO would win, there is no way in the world they could let the user pay.

You got the software under the GPL. That license says specifically you are in the clear.
The only thing SCO could do is sue the people infringing the so-called IP. And if their IP are the files they presented, they will be rewritten to unmatch SCO's.

But there is absolutely no way in this current Time-Space continuum that SCO will win.
What they are saying at the moment with the files they showed is something like:

You wrote a book. That's OK. But you wrote it in English. You can't do that ! English is ours ! We own that copyright !

    And then they go on:

You are currently reading a book, written in English, which we own the copyright of. You will have to pay us $699 to read the book in English. Your alternative is to stop reading, or read it in Hungarian, Swahili or Klingon (although we might have the copyright on Klingon).

If you really halted the Linux adoption, you did your company a big disfavor. Maybe you should review the decision (if possible).

This is not a real problem, because it will be solved very soon.

For the people who believe female/male connectors are politically incorrect, power outlets will be issued with male contacts, to compensate for the years of suppression of the male outlet.

Furthermore, to avoid the pin-in-hole thing which could be perceived as 'rape', there will be no mating connectors.

Offenders will be electrocuted (as soon as we can find the power cable with the female contacts)

This has been tested at a small company known as SCO, and they are really, totally, absolutely, disconnected from whatever you can come up with.

  16. What paper trail ? on Can America Trust Electronic Voting? · · Score: 1

I fail to see the difference with the current voting system.

There is only one vote in the US, which is spelled MONEY. The whole election is being bought, whether it is Clinton, Gore, Bush.
Sometimes you guys are lucky, and get a president that is a capable person. Sometimes you don't.

You can paper trail all you want, but the real election has been decided long before your vote is counted. The more money, the more media coverage, the better the speeches, lesser bad press, etc.

However, there is a simple solution to this.

Have every candidate take a poll. Simple questions, only to be answered YES or NO.

Will you raise taxes (YES/NO) could be an example.

Then, Look at the answers you want, and vote the candidate that has most good answers for you.

No money involved. Plain and simple: do as you promised. If not, you will not be president for long.
