Your boss does not sound very open minded, perhaps it is correct that other employees have been whining.
I also recently worked in a laboratory. I was told portable music players are fine and sometimes helpful but however, I was not allowed to use them when working with hazardous chemicals and such.

For a paedophile, it is probably a lot safer to actually go molest some kids nowadays rather than look for pictures on the internet.
They should use all these resources to hunt down real criminals (bankers) instead.

The school should take pride in assisting with research and promote itself on the idea that it is the leading school in searching for alien life on other planets.
I find that WoW guilds often resemble political parties. They have drama, scandals, split ups and disbands, just like in politics.
Then again, it's a group of people, and a group of people is a group of people, regardless of location.
