I'd like to know just how many people they plan to pay full-time to approve/reject all of these edits. How many changes are made to Wikipedia in an HOUR? No way they'd ever be able to keep up.
It will quickly change over to the Youtube/Yahoo Answers system... someone flags/reports your work enough, it gets automatically removed and they pretend someone actually modded it.

When did it become a bad thing that your computer starts up faster than the amount of time it takes to microwave something? FFS, 56k modems take longer to connect than it takes for a modern computer to boot.
I don't really want to go through the horror of listening through all those sound files, but from my own personal experience I don't think "the chainsaw" is on there.
When my hard drive crashed, it started with a soft noise which within 30 seconds built to an extremely loud noise akin to a chainsaw, before suddenly and completely seizing up.
The fact that it's not illegal combined with the high value of diamonds makes this worth any risk of blowing up. Certainly a better and more legit occupation for anyone currently in the crystal meth industry, at least.
Your assumptions were right, I have an AR50007 wireless card, Compaq Presario A900 laptop running 32-bit version of Ubuntu 8.04 that I installed using Wubi.

I'm a beginner trying to make the switch from Vista to Ubuntu, but for the past two weeks and about 5-10 failed attempts, I've been trying to get my AR5007 wireless card to work in Ubuntu 8.04 to no avail.
Will an AR5007 card work with 8.10 right out of the box? Or else I'm not going to bother with it if I can't even get a internet connection.

Sorry... I guess what I meant is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of information or support for complete beginners who are trying to switch from windows to linux. Maybe I'm wrong, or it just isn't "dumbed down enough".
