    Ignoring issues related to DRM, what's the point of using WMA when you have the option of AAC or MP3?

    Possible issues to solve before implementation:

    1. More taxpayers money spent on bandwidth.
    2. Botnet of PCs that download/stream videos from whitehouse.gov, effectively causing a DDoS.
    3. Setting up streaming servers nearer to Tier 1 ISPs may equate lesser physical security.

    Why is that a bad thing? Japan and Germany are currently good countries.

    The Japanese government officials, in some ways, try to deny that history had happened. For example, they had changed facts in their education history textbooks.

    In TFA's video demo, the 2 cm boat was apparently powered without batteries, soap, or physical action. That's what made it different - it seemed almost like "free energy". (It seems a bit different from TFA though, which described electrical pulses.)

    Anyway, I'm not sure why your post is modded Redundant (even if it's based on different principles). Some Asian kids never got a chance to do a soap boat as they had neither bathtubs nor free time.

    Yes, and I love Vista's audio system ... It does high quality (32-bit floating point) software mixing of all audio streams. ... Likewise, you can control the volume on individual apps ... It's resampling engine is also great. It opens up the sound card in the mode you tell it to, and resamples all audio to that.

    Darn it! You're making me like Vista! I'm feeling myself turning into another Windows zombie now.

    A lot of FOSS projects fall into a similar mentality and lose sight of their objectives. Rather than writing a great program for the community, it's a great program for the core users.

    You've reminded me of an older Slashdot article: Michael Meeks Says OO.o Project is ..., well, stagnating from a development perspective, with only 24 developers at lowest count.

    I think OO.o can be improved if we can attract more developers. But how? (Other than implementing another ribbon-like interface.)

    Maybe improve PowerPoint compatibility, ensure Excel docs work flawlessly, etc.?

    I did it both ways:

    • recording the TV version (here in Channel NewsAsia Singapore, the coverage was marred by extremely talkative voiceovers)
    • watched the pic2009.org version (marred by a shaky video camera and poor colours), and
    • watched the inaugural.senate.gov version (same as the local TV version, minus the talkative voiceovers and tickers and logos on screen (thank goodness))

    i ask no forgiveness or understanding, i am now a whole-hearted pirate/thief. and i do see pirating as a form of thievery.

    It's very brave of you to own up.

    You're also in a unique position to evaluate the "hundred or so" games, in a way that we can only dream of.

    I've played this mod before. It did exactly that, and made characters look a lot better.

    Should I mention the name of this mod? I'm most afraid of Coca-Cola(r) executives and lawyers chasing after the makers of the mod.

    Characters looked better. Some say Judith Mossman looks more "MILF-y" now.

    The mod is a 1GB download, and makes HL2 perform slower (more disk access), but I think it's great.
