Why is that a bad thing? Japan and Germany are currently good countries.
The Japanese government officials, in some ways, try to deny that history had happened. For example, they had changed facts in their education history textbooks.
Other than that...
I say the only way we can achieve peace if we stop remembering who did what to whom.
You have a good point, I agree that what you say is true, and I respect your opinion.
In TFA's video demo, the 2 cm boat was apparently powered without batteries, soap, or physical action. That's what made it different - it seemed almost like "free energy". (It seems a bit different from TFA though, which described electrical pulses.)
Anyway, I'm not sure why your post is modded Redundant (even if it's based on different principles). Some Asian kids never got a chance to do a soap boat as they had neither bathtubs nor free time.
Yes, and I love Vista's audio system... It does high quality (32-bit floating point) software mixing of all audio streams.... Likewise, you can control the volume on individual apps... It's resampling engine is also great. It opens up the sound card in the mode you tell it to, and resamples all audio to that.
Darn it! You're making me like Vista! I'm feeling myself turning into another Windows zombie now.
(in a Borg voice) Come use Vista... there is nothing to fear... you will be assimilated (into the 90% "Windows" users).
A lot of FOSS projects fall into a similar mentality and lose sight of their objectives. Rather than writing a great program for the community, it's a great program for the core users.
You've reminded me of an older Slashdot article: Michael Meeks Says OO.o Project is..., well, stagnating from a development perspective, with only 24 developers at lowest count.
I think OO.o can be improved if we can attract more developers. But how? (Other than implementing another ribbon-like interface.)
Maybe improve PowerPoint compatibility, ensure Excel docs work flawlessly, etc.?
... I can help write press releases, ad copy, design business proposals... we do a lot of market research... explain what is possible to the business types... I have customer service skills godddammnit! Anyway, I'd hope to be able to help. Like I said, where do I sign up?
I know I'm going to be modded "-1, Redundant", and lose all my Karma that I've worked hard to build, but...
recording the TV version (here in Channel NewsAsia Singapore, the coverage was marred by extremely talkative voiceovers)
watched the pic2009.orgversion (marred by a shaky video camera and poor colours), and
watched the inaugural.senate.gov version (same as the local TV version, minus the talkative voiceovers and tickers and logos on screen (thank goodness))
... Almost all of his 400+ posts read like mine above.... Unfortunately, NYCL was troll'd.
Could this "GuloGulo (959533)" person be appointed here to harass NYCL (where he least expects it - in Slashdot) as well as to give other people (important new readers) a bad impression of Slashdot (so that they'll stay away)?
Ignoring issues related to DRM, what's the point of using WMA when you have the option of AAC or MP3?
(with a straight face)
(Attempt at humour: FAIL.)
The U.S. government should have its own video servers ...
Possible issues to solve before implementation:
If you are innocent, then you have nothing to worry about. That's a pretty wise assessment.

There's a missing cache of whitehouse.gov for 10 months.
Anyone knows where to get more caches?
Well said.
Same as Japan. Currently their education ministers are trying their damnest best to hide all the torture and massacre information.
Japanese children grew up not knowing the crimes against humanity that their forefathers did 65 years ago.
You, Sir, have obviously read TFA, and thus is far superior to the rest of Slash... I mean, Collective.
You will be assimilated to serve as a bridge between the hairless apes and the overlords.
You will be named "Rublecutus of Borg".

There were so many Slashdot articles on space tourism, that I'm lost even before I've begun reading.

Actually, this sounds like the average [married] slashdotter.
You've reminded me of an old BlueWave tagline:
... Sleep? I'm a SYSOP!

Slashdot'ers talk, think, eat, and dream in HTML.
Some can even describe their dreams using VRML.
Not to mention ...

Change has come to WhiteHouse.gov
The first post on WhiteHouse.gov.
A "first post"?
... I can help write press releases, ad copy, design business proposals ... we do a lot of market research ... explain what is possible to the business types ... I have customer service skills godddammnit! Anyway, I'd hope to be able to help. Like I said, where do I sign up?

Way to go, Sir! I salute you!
Can I use the word "password" as my password, then? I plan to use it on eBay, PayPal, and my internet banking website.
I did it both ways:
i ask no forgiveness or understanding, i am now a whole-hearted pirate/thief. and i do see pirating as a form of thievery.
It's very brave of you to own up.
You're also in a unique position to evaluate the "hundred or so" games, in a way that we can only dream of.
If you have interesting reviews to share, we'll be very interested in hearing your opinions of the games you find enjoyable.
Doesn't matter that copying went up, what matters is sales went up.
In short, I agree wholeheartedly.
I'm posting these because you post made me remember the "Pirates don't count. Only paying customers count." part.
I've played this mod before. It did exactly that, and made characters look a lot better.
Should I mention the name of this mod? I'm most afraid of Coca-Cola(r) executives and lawyers chasing after the makers of the mod.
Characters looked better. Some say Judith Mossman looks more "MILF-y" now.
The mod is a 1GB download, and makes HL2 perform slower (more disk access), but I think it's great.
Head go bad? Move the media to another drive. In seconds.
You mean, roughly 86400 seconds?
Would a good game plot, overcome a lack of great graphics and features?
(i.e. Would yesteryear's Sierra and LucasArts games overcome today's market demands?)
Hey, *I'm* supposed to be the troll around here!
Egads! There's an angry mob outside with pitchforks, accusing me of breaking some "DNFTT" rule. I better run!

Or should I be following the Hanlon's Razor principle?
I assume you can read all 400 of his posts, due to being a subscriber, you get a "More Comments" button?
