    or doctor data and form an opinion off of it that best gets you more funding. I suppose that's the way science is done these days. Remember when there was the romantic idea that science was the pursuit of knowledge and not just more government funding.

    No, many features aren't fully implemented and there are shortcuts that avoid blocks of required code. This is why not all pages are rendering properly. Once these get fixed it will seem to slow down in order to fill all the requirements.

    The decided that "Global Warming" changed to "Global Climate Change" you know in case it started cooling. They should just change it to "Global scary thing that affects everything you do and you need to give us money to protect you from it."

    I know, it was bad then and all the demonstrations haven't done anything! Even electing another party has only made it worse. It's time to start backing a smaller government 3rd party I guess.

    They make some kind of off assumptions as well:

    "The trinity does not make sense in some settings. Why would a game set in space with ships have a Tank or Healer role for the ships? What about a realistic modern infantry warfare? You can make it work, but this can hurt the willing suspension of disbelief. The trinity of core classes does not make sense in many settings outside of fantasy. "

    If we look at scifi space combat (because it's our only reference) you almost always see a large "mother ship"(TANK) with smaller fighters (DPS) and some type of docking station usually on the mother ship (heals)

    how can you say there are no "tanks" or "medics" in modern infantry warfare?

    I think this is exactly the point the article was making, atleast what I could derive from the summory as I obviously am not going to read the f'ing article.

    this quote is almost the same as your last sentence just said with a more pointed arrow:

    What decent paid job doesn't require this?

    Obvious higher paid then IT
    Doctors - constantly have to update knowledge
    Lawyers - constant knowledge updates and reading case information
    Upper management - constantly have to build relationships and sell ideas. this requires being able to explain what the company can do for another company

    Unless you want to swing a hammer, lay bricks or flip hamburgers (not demoing, but all career paths that have become 95% static) then there's not many options.

    NASA 3 months later: ok we put a man on the moon!
    After small coverup
    JFK: We will put a man on the moon by the end of the decade, and bring him back.

    Like roads and power, the infrastructure needed to service broadband for everyone requires a private company to trample on the property rights of a 3rd party. If a someone wants electricity but the person that owns the land between them and the power company doesn't want power lines strung across their land at any price (or even a slightly unreasonable price) then they are SOL. Same thing happens with roads, waterworks, cable TV, and broadband.

    Although it goes against every Libertarian bone in my body to say it, the Government is the only entity that can insure these kinds of things are able to happen.
