It's a custom license forbidding use in competition without prior consent and acknowledgement, including keeping the name of the original program to preserve it's history.
The correlation between the rise in realistic violent video games compared to the drastic fall in violent crime rates seems to go against any argument that the games cause violence.
Capitalism is nothing more than finding a way to gain from a situation. The fact that it is seen as synonymous with free market is a shame. Even the most die hard socialist is going to capitalize on the system. It is the evil part of greed, the part that is willing to blackmail another person to gain advantage. To pass regulation to gain advantage. To position other groups against each other to gain advantage. All while not actually producing anything of value to trade in a free market that has open and willing interaction between people.
good point. It's not like you buy a used car and it's exactly like it was when it was brand new. No, you get to continue it where the previous owner left off.
Well, i was pushing the question more to people that thought that big government was a good idea because it somehow would stomp out this kind of corruption. As the rest of my post shows that when dealing with the government you only have to barely convince that you can produce. The actual production doesn't have to exist at all.
And while a nice jab, it does turn out that there are more military sons and daughters of politicians as a percentage than there are in the general public by far.
"I know a couple people who work for TSA. They used to be cool, independent thinkers who I enjoyed hanging around. Now half of them are suspicious, pessimistic people who act as though the entire nation is entrapped in some massive conspiracy theory."
It's not a conspiracy, everyone actually does hate them.
Not that I disagree with your premise, but wouldn't you think that someone that was the former head of a government security agency might know a bit about the needs of that agency and be able to start a company that can provide for those needs? Of course companies in a free market are much less likely to behave in a devious business, but once they deal with the government it's hard to see anything but favors and back scratching going on. When you don't actually have to produce much of anything and still get to sell your wares at top dollar it gets a bit scary.
Exactly, as a parent I would agree with both of you. I don't think minors should be allowed to purchase anything without a parent or guardian present. Perhaps, other than basic sustenance in extreme situations.
There's no more money in "save the whales" that went out sometime in the 90s, right about the time of the Al Gore Warming (AGW) started to greedily grab money from the government.
Sorry, should have said did you not start reading my post from the beginning, "Real bargain in my eyes compared to all the court costs and wasted time"
I take it to mean that Android manufactures are more willing to replace a faulty phone than iPhone or rim. They are just better at convincing you that your phone is fine and working as expected, "just hold it different to get better reception"
Easy solution, don't buy from that vendor. If they don't give you a product at a price you're willing to pay then don't buy it. If it's still worth it even with the few extra dollars that they "pocket" then buy it anyway. You're profiting buy getting something you wanted. The profit is mutual. Until there is a gun involved it is a voluntary exchange for mutual befit.

only if you rush them to the hospital and explain the accident...
Otherwise your analogy is saying they gave this access on purpose. They may have, although I personally doubt it.
Truth and facts really are annoying to most liberals.

Nothing disastrous happens unless it is cause by those evil humans.
1.1 kilofeet away.

It's called government.

Of course the designs were done by Ralph McQuarrie in 1978-79 so you're both wrong. The movie came out after the plan for it.

Of course then it would be "...profit at social costs" the word "all" is inclusive and not specific.
But money is inclusive in "All costs"
You do realize that while those are included in the term "all costs," so are the monetary ones, right? Right?
"...profit at all costs."
You know that's an oxymoron right?
just more hardware failures per support call, no word on who has more support calls.
