Fair point, but these guys are already taking the train. And as much as I hate the shitty train service we get here in London, it is more 'eco-friendly' than driving.
I'm not suggesting these guys are gonna be 'walking' all the way to work.:)
This is great! I already have a chuckle at the 'execs' on the commuter trains in the morning who wear rollerblades, and use those motor scooter things. Now I get to watch them bounding down the platform too! Yay!
I used to have a cool zippo lighter with the word 'Sealand' on the face, with some kind of red and blue logo thing. I don't remember specifically the shape of the logo or whatever, but the point is I never knew what the hell Sealand was, I just thought it looked cool.
Now I know what it is, and I've lost the lighter:)
What I want to know is, did these ever exist? Were they 'genuine'? Does anyone else have one / remember having one?

Now that I think about it, it's true, I *haven't* seen any players sniffing their tennis balls, even though many players have their own 'warm up' routine with their balls, bouncing them, slapping them or just tossing them... Oh no, here we go again...

Heh heh, I was referring to the same tasteless joke in my original post, but in the mad dash to submit, forgot to add any kind of emphasis. I didn't actually mean...
Oh, you get the idea...:)

Oh great, a combination of life's two most annoying things. I can see yuppies on trains shouting "I'M ON THE TRAIN" into their mobiles, only to find that someone's nicking their car..
Aah, sweet revenge - I'd pay someone to jack some yuppies car just to see their reaction on the train..
Seriously though, this is a good idea - someone moderate it up.

Cambridge uni boffins have just announced a magnetic chip design supposedly 40 odd thousand times more power efficient than the silicon flavour. This BBC article has the full story.
Hate to be pedantic (

I'm thinking tripwire here...
[Cue comedy lightbulb]
Aha! Nice to clear that one up, although a zippo from a shipping company (however respectable they may be) isn't quite as cool...

This is a silly one I know...

I haven't seen a lot of tennis players sniffing their balls, so they might have a limited market for this...

You could use an EPOC PDA : they have good email and web browsing apps - but you'd need a data capable mobile phone to go with it..
I'd go for either the Ericsson MC218
or
The Psion revo
oh yeah, and there's more revo info here.
For the phone, something like a Nokia 7100 Series or 8200 Series would do.
There's currently an HTML browser for the psion devices, with a WML one promised. The MC218 already has a WML browser.

It seems this post being moderated up has caused the topic to get it's own article :)
