I would agree that we live in a police state now. But no one has tested it yet. But everything is in place. Give it some time and we'll all look back and say *oh shit*
I am putting money on a flase flag that FOIA will release in 20 years. Sad part is the story is always the same. Just different details.
Remember in the Stratfor hack some of the documents detailed a consortium of people planning chemical attacks in such a way as to place blame on Assad.
If you fixed the health care system and cut 50% each of the defense and intelligence budgets, our GDP would not longer be #1 in the world. We might be #2 or maybe even #3.
Or ar least vaccinate me against small pox... As it stands, only a few countries have the capability of all out world wide nuclear war, and I would like to believe those nations are smart enough to not start pressing big red buttons. An un-winnable end of all life as a deterrent scenario and all that. But any idiot country could potentially develop bio-weapons of mass destruction, and any idiot country is potentially short-sighted enough to unleash something they might not even fully understand. With nukes you can stop pressing buttons, but the right bio-weapons could potentially yield an unstoppable runaway process of slow, agonizing, world wide death.
The US has already detonated nukes. The US has loads of chemical weapons. The US appears to be the loose cannon (idiot country) on the world stage today.... invading another country(s) without provocation.
"demonstrate the prevalence of research, development and deployment of bio weapons worldwide, despite an international treaty prohibiting such activity."
As if America in its adventures around the globe doesn't violate the Geneva Conventions regularly. Countries are afraid. Very afraid.
Maybe the reason he cannot get on HBO etc is because he supports the free flow of information. Last I checked the major media people hate pirating work as they believe it cuts into their profits. Kinda like Bradley Manning filling in for Jay Carney @ the White House.
This is exactly the same problem we encountered in OccupyLA. Many of the original planners were drowned out, or lets be polite and say OccupyLA just morphed into something radically different than originally conceived. It happens in all systems. See: US Gov't and democracy
First dump Windows. Then install Linux. (it is just a matter of time for you too) Go from there. As you discover Linux, make notes on which apps do what. Then make a cheat sheets for guests to use. Have them use a guest account.
I would have a hard time believing that anyone is such a good computer user that they never have issues with Windows. It is just impossible to stay 100% clean all the time.
BTW... stories like this hitting the mainstream media is in part why there is such a push to limit the flow of information. Those who have become corrupted seek to silence the flow of information. While now we are slaves to debt, soon we'll be slaves because we are just plain ignorant of the world around us.
USSC.gov. was hacked. Sys Admins put it back online. USSC was hacked again. This time with keystrokes to play tetris and a nyan cat. As of this writing USSC is still down. Someone is pissed.
So........This is a great excuse to steal more money from taxpayers using fear. The fear instilled in us taxpayers (stuxnet etc) was created by..guess who??
The game is over.. Anonymous has called it right. This will be an interesting ride over the next few years.
This is not about mail volume or heath costs. Try funding 75 years of pension value in 10 years...public or private entity.
"Unlike every other governmental agency, the Postal Service is required to fund 75 years of retiree health benefits over just a 10-year span."
Yep.... would not want the government to be successful at anything..except war and destruction. Oh and let us not forget....printing money for the rich.
My father was a research professor in curriculum and foundations @ ohio state univ from mid 60s to mid 80s. he would suggest genius is an irrelevant term. misleading at best. he would never tell me my IQ test results as a kid. IQ was not a good measure of anything. creativity, discipline and a host of other factors contribute to the overall picture.
he is rolling over in his grave if he looks at the state of public education today from early childhood development through post secondary education and graduate degrees. education in his mind was not meant to obtain a better job, but mostly to increase one's understanding of the world around them.
our public education system has failed... and since we have a pretty uneducated public, so will the democracy we live in.... (or has it already?)
14 floppies for the basic install. a friend and i bought cdroms (1x i think)... unfortunately we chose the panasonic interface. once slackware was running with a browser, windows 3.1 was history. then on to anything i could find that would run on a 275mhz Alpha board that i bought really cheap. although i always had an intel box as the main desktop which was red hat. red hat had strong support for Alpha in the 90s. anything but beige.
when red hat went commercial i went to libranet. then i bought an ibook g4. boredom set in... so i switched to ubuntu.
Actually, I think it might be hard to quantify how many *citizens* are heard. Good idea for a Slashdot Poll: How many people on Slashdot can verify personal interaction with their representatives.
Of course this might be one reason why we continue to bomb the shit out the middle east:

Each and everyday I become more convinced of this argument.
Florida? That bastion of progressive thinking?

Some sort of God created the Big Bang.. evolution etc etc. There is soooooo much we don't know.
However, one thing I do know is............... I am sure this guy would not get my vote if I lived in Georgia.

My guess is China will draw a line in the sand and say *No more money for you until you pay back what you already owe.*
Is it just me or do I see a pattern of serious mental illness developing amongst politicians??
