    I think Waymo should take this as a learning experience; if their cars act human, than there is no problem. But they don't currently, so people don't like them. Do we not all want these cars to act human and therefore come close to being as safe as one?

    Companies always have ulterior motives. Unless you're saying Apple isn't worried about their shareholders?

    I call it price inflated because they are simpler than an ICE and come with more inconveniences so they never should have been priced higher. They have been rushed to market.

    Since I've had a family, I've bought new vehicles instead of old, precisely because that becomes a huge problem with older vehicles.

    Yet I talked to a person who said he could launch this Tesla all day and all night long and it didn't affect range much.

    If I spend that much money on a vehicle, I don't want to be one of those 99% that suddenly realize that they DO need to go more than 150 miles total. Possibly in an urgent way.

    Well I don't want to stop at any of those places for more than 20 minutes. That might be practical once everyone has chargers that can do a fill in less than 15 mins.

    That's not much of an option. I take my current ICE places instead of flying specifically because I don't like renting a vehicle and dealing with those agencies. Besides, if I bought a price-inflated EV with the thought that the electric fills will save me money why would I throw that all away on renting a vehicle?

    I thought EVs were super powerful compared to ICEs? I passed 4 cars and one with ease on the highway the other day. The Leaf cant do that?

    How many 1000 mile+ trips have you been on with it? How many times in -20 weather?

  18. IF I lived in California, I wouldn't imagine I needed to drive anywhere else either. Back here though, I do want to drive to other places in the country and EVs aren't sufficient enough for that yet, and too expensive to be a second car.

    My requirements for messaging is that the service NOT scan my messages for ways to advertise to me. Beyond that, the requirement is that I be able to enter text and have it be seen by the person it is meant for. I'm sure Google can do the second requirement just fine, but it is the first requirement they have a lot of problems with.

    This seems to be the real way that Uber should be used. However, other people seem to say that you can't pick a fare by pickup and drop off point. If this is true, how do you manage to ensure you won't end up 30 minutes out of your way?

    Wild expectations, like expecting a method of currency to hold the same value from day to day? Like being able to put $5 in a wallet and knowing you'll be able to afford a coffee and a doughnut next week?
