I agree, mac keyboard is awful. I use it too when I can't attach an external keyboard. And I definitely don't eat crackers while I am using it.

Das Keyboard with the 'red' cherry MX clicky keys. I just like the way it feels, though I was a bit disappointed with the fact that the legs to angle it are just cheap plastic and fall out easily.

I haven't had a watch for a couple years now but I agree with you. In fact, I found myself looking at my wrist the other day even though it has been so long since I have had one.

Don't take my comments to mean that I don't set realistic limits. However, I am the senior member of the team and it is often easier to answer a question off-hours then to fix what they messed up because I wasn't available for them to ask it.

  5. That's how you get situations like in Silicon Valley, were people who have always lived there can no longer afford their homes. I get what you're saying and while it may sound logical it's not very humane.

I work from home every day making a pretty decent salary. I don't really ever want to go back to the office, so I consider it a reasonable trade off.

Well I get pages by SMS and that is the only way the system will work.

  9. I avoid social networking like the plague and my wife is on Facebook all the time. Just the types of little humorous clips she shows me really imitates me.. like I can literally feel the seconds being drained away from my life. First of all, many of them that are intended to show some funny moment are so obviously staged; and people on average really don't have a great sense of humor.

It's a bit different when your job expects to be able to reach you on your phone. You just don't have one of those jobs.

I find the Google Assistant very under powered. You can have it set a reminder for you, but then you can't go back to that reminder and alter it. You can ask it to dial a number, but then you can't have it enter the PIN if you are calling into a conference number. etc etc

That just means you live in the wrong province. It varies widely.

  20. I believe the cost was the same. The point is that a private company focuses on profits before results, and the government focuses on results before profits.

  21. The only way to do that is by subsidizing it.

Obviously, that's why the government is involved.
