I agree. Batteries are a high resistance storage method right? They don't accept power quickly and if you try to force it in the battery says fuck mein leben, this guy...
Isn't that the reason they try and integrate super-caps with the regenerative braking system? So that they capture the bulk of the energy generated from the wheels and then trickle it back into the battery or used to give the electric engine the initial acceleration boost up to the speed limit. From a cold stop is where my instant Liters/per 100kms spikes, not that im a leadfoot.
Project better place, as mentioned, has the better option in the long run, battery swap stations. The entire reason he thought of this idea was to eliminate the cost of vehicle manufacturers selling the 'well' of power with the car making it alot more expensive than traditional engines. By separating out this power source and offering it for lease like a mobile phone contract, it can work.
Since the SKA was going to be built close to my town of Geraldton(300kms is close in aussie terms) we got non-monopoly controlled backhaul fibre at our exchange quicker. Its also going to be part of the FTTH network eventually so two birds with 1 cable..
Not that last mile is going in the ground anytime soon but hey, progress.
It's hard to see ISP's policing this at all.. even if there is a law to disconnect someone, they are basically going to either a). end to end encrypt their traffic or b) lose customers to competitor ISPs (if their exist)
I would have thought the police would have allowed a 'crimebook' to continue if it lived up to the assumption of the name. I'm sure coppers already have their own crimebook and could use this as second life.

Flashy graphics appeal to people visually and stimulate you before you get to play the game and judge it's actual value. I'd say that to make a game look the best is a marketing decision for the screenshots and the trailers to sell the game.

In other news Mcdonalds announced a brand new McBull Shark Burger. Limited time only while stock lasts.
They couldn't have gotten another guy without the first name Wang for this story? That is priceless.
