What ever the heating/cooling/cleaning requirements might be, they're always made easier when you remove the moving parts (disks, fans). I suggest a PC with a etherbootable wireless adapter and installing LTSP on a server in the house. If ebayed correctly, this should come in way under $200.
The installfest is hosted "at" MIT, not "for" MIT. Anyone is welcome. It's also not "just" for installation, but also some one-on-one time with any of the gurus to assist with whatever questions people might have.
I've been experimenting with building a Linux PVR recently and if I can get a configuration working, I'll be at the installfest to kickstart PVR's.
Actually, since the expression 'wow' rhymes with 'POW', the poster was imprisoned under some loosely mis-quoted words from the Patriot Act. And thus the second impression was there-by censored by the FCC and later trademarked by SCO who is now seeking retro-active royalties for use of the term in all recorded video and written material. SchoolHouseRock legal expert BILL, has already introduced a counter suit to protect their own "Interjection Wow!" dude.
Yikes, back in the mid 90's, WD drives were amongst the most unreliable IMHO. Plus I recall some kind of crazy compatibilty issues on the IDE & EIDE bus. Wasn't there a compatibilty jumper or something? I never recovered from the generalization that WD's were the worst of breed. Same goes for brussell sprouts. I'm still convinced they suck even though I haven't had one since I was 8.
IIRC... It's my understanding that much of the RAID performance on x86 Linux comes from the MMX subprocessor. So it makes sense that we witness many claims of great performance.
I've personally been using (at home) a handfull of IBM ServeRaid 3 cards from EBAY (~ $10) which work wonderfully. Native linux CLI tools and very functional Java GUI. Runs on powerPC. I'm surprised no one has mentioned them on this list yet. I don't know how IBM's performance stacks up against others, but I'm satisfied with it's linux support and backwards compatability.
Actually, with most of the newer HP rilo/ilo and IBM ASMA adapters, you have the ability to remotely pass a bootable floppy image. Remote install problem solved.
I've also built a kickstart floppy which activates and installs using a serial console. Also works like a charm.
Al-Qaeda (sp?) is using the review system to get us all to buy CRAP! It's their latest brain storm to destory our economy.
Or perhaps they're doing the opposite. They're communicating to one another through reviews. If all the reviews on Amazon suddenly fall negative, I'm staying home...
"show lines that are invisible to the naked eye. Rather than produce accidental disturbances, he said, Cinea plans to create specific disturbances that it can control"
This smells more of subliminal advertising, than copyright protection...
If everyone is drinking Sprite and wearing Nike shoes 10 years from now, we'll know I was right.
If I contributed to a "fake" fund... can I still declare it on my 2004 taxes?

What more can you ask for? The worlds "leading" authority on security will create a online music service.
I wonder if the record label executives know that ROT13 is not exactly a new break through in cryptography.
NOBODY expectes the SCO inquisition!!!
Funny sigs are for funny people. Germans don't do funny!
I'll throw in what's left of my peeled skin collection... That's a keeper!

I am a conspiracy theorist however, and so I can only assume the lumber industry is funding the venture capital for this "cute" business product.

At LinuxWorld Expo NY, RH announced a developer edition of Advanced Server ( I believe it to be around 60 bucks with no support )
Watch out you crazy Brits... It's gonna be raining pomfrets in London before you know it.
Next it'll be the P-3 autonomous flying katoffel humming it's way at Big Ben....

IMHO Remote install/admin is mostly solved...
I'll just settle for the inhabitants. He can keep the bricks & mortar... taxes :-(
.... I forgot my SUN One pun
Due to bunnies clouding the brain
