I for one think full disclosure is the only way holes will be fixed and systems secured. Where does he think he will get new attack sigs from? Report your new vulnerabilities to NFR only so they can keep it a secret and roll it into the next signature file version? Hmm strike NFR off my IDS solution list. Like those guys at NFR aren't all subscribed to bugtraq.
I found an apple IIe(?) with no power supply once. So I wired in a PC power supply. It never really ran quite right...but it did run. I couldnt hit a key and get just one character. It would spit out 4 or five depending on how fast I was. I suspect the keyboard controller was shot.
We just got a Dual Xeon Dell poweredge 6400 for statistical number crunching. I giggled as I found the contents of the box to contain an offical copy with documentation of RedHat 6.2. Which had been preinstalled by dell as well.
Has anyone had any thoughts as how these chip frequencys might affect 900mhz phones? If at all? Maybe cause some problems if you have a phone near a fast box?
I had a friend in high school that used to pop off the keys from is PS/2 keyboard and toss them all in the sink when they got dirty. He would wash them with some soap and water then dry em' and pop them back on his keyboard.
I plan to get one for the car that I can plug into my stereos audio in. Then just take it with me when I am walking around. I have a jeep so CD's get easily scratched and dinged up if the visor case migrates to the floor. At least with this I can make a shock mounting for it and just plug it in.
I would love it if cray/tera came out with a 64 bit desktop. If they kept it in the affordable range I would love one. We have a few SGIs at my work place and I just love the things. It would be nice to have a few Cray workstations/desktops. What would they run though? CrayOS/linux hybrid?
It turned out the way I thought it would, but after three of these it gets predictable. It was kind of annoying because these films are all the same. The same senarios just re-written in a new day and age.
I have been holding out for over a year now waiting for something to come out on the market with color/linux/mp3 abilities. This looks like my wait is over. Hopefully they wont cost too much. $800.00 sounds good. Perhaps one day we will all have mobile computing devices running webservers or other services over an 30% wireless internet. So if I am in an air port and accessing a webpage it could be the guy sitting next to me with a PDA in his jacket. Hey where is so and so.. I dont know lets go to his webpage and see if he has updated his whereabouts from the taxi.
How do you loose a negitive amount of money? Hey I am going to take -$20.00 dollars from you then do I give you $20.00? Or is this more of that accountant language I dont understand.
Are they going to simulate bowl movements also? You could fill it everyday with a pint of RoboPiss(tm) and can of RoboSoftServeTurd(tm). Then train it to be house broken.
What about static? Could you give your RoboPet a lobotomy when the humidity is low?
You can still see the muppets at 6:30 on the oddessy channel in the northeast. My wife and I watch them when we are home. Brings back memories of when life was simple.
My wife and I actually used the Free-PC to plan our trip to hawaii. We used it to purchase small gifts for Christmas and what not. It was just terribly slow and sometimes annoying to use. We often found our selves hopping on to a linux box on the cable modem. Atleast it was an interesting idea, and the presario 2285v is an upgrade compared to all the 486's I use.
Who fed the 800lb gorilla his bananna?
Hey did you password the DB sa account after we finished the install? "Nah, I will get to it after lunch"

My webserver/SMTP server is on a 486/DX2 50. I have two 340meg IDE disks. Works great.
Rock on DONO! now where is my account on that sweet box of yours?

I wonder how long it will take for ditributed.net to come out with dna crunching clients?

I wonder if this add any more redunancy to the internet?
I agree I am sick of her dumbass. She must have slept with a lot of people to get this much camera time.

That cat got hit with an ugly stick or truck.
Two reasons why I wouldnt buy it.
1) My dog would chew its head off.
2) Its ugly.

Perhaps the maintainers would care to post something on bugtraq? announcing their new package.
I beg to differ. You sound like you were born in the 80's am I correct?
I saw this one too, my wife and I laughed so hard. I think the chef skits are my favorite.
I used to like alf when I was a kid. I cant stand the jokes anymore however. I can still sit down and watch the muppets though.

Here is a link to the letter (E-mail) I received.
No more Win98 for me!
