  2. Re:Here it is for 5c on NIH Spends $400K To Figure Out Why Men Don't Like Condoms · · Score: 0

    Wrong...

A condom is not 100% safe, it reduces the odds of getting STDs with 85% (only staying in your mom's basement with the doors locked from in- & outside is).

You are forgetting the risk of the condom cracking, which happens quite a lot, actually. Next to that you are forgetting the odds of performing cunnilingus on a woman also brings risks with it (not a hell of a lot, between 0.5 and 1 in 10.000), but still...

Anyhow, even getting your partner tested doesn't really say anything, because the tests are only 99% sure 6 months after the unprotected sex, so anything in between isn't sure.
Trust between partners is a very important thing, but i wouldn't build my physical health upon it...

Anyway, i was in the exact situation you are now, and i got out by never giving up on going to job interviews, not necessarily to directly get a job, but to test out what strategies in "marketing" yourself work best.

I found that admitting your weak sides, focusing on the fact that you are willing to learn, and are already reading up on several topics (eg. security / programming perl / hacking windows, ...) and just be yourself works best.

That's how in 4 years time i doubled my salary and am now at the same level as someone who has his masters degree.

The majority of articles i've read on wikipedia are quite balanced, with some sort of bias that you can directly recognize, so no harm done.

I mean, people are falling all the time for promotional campaigns on television, which are obviously biased, wikipedia is refreshing compared to that, in the sense that it's quite less biased.

Apparently haven grown up in rural areas is good way to be able to train your internal gps for places without a lot of landmarks.

I grew up near a very wide stretch of dunes, where every dune looks *almost* the same, after a while of having to rely on slight differences, navigating in a city is just kids play, where every badly painted marking, every bump in the road, every lantern with a crack in it becomes a huge landmark...

Try it yourself, you look to big landmarks for general direction (i count the sun as a *very* big landmark, providing you're familiar with where the sun should be at a particular time of the day :D), and very small ones to be sure of where you are exactly.
