With you there!
I get a lot of to-the-point, good job offers because of the fact i'm on LinkedIn, so far, i've declined them all, because i get asked for jobs so far (damn i like saying this, makes me feel important;-) )
Just FYI: you're already on Facebook, friends or people you know put pictures of you online, and tagged you in them...
So get on Facebook, never mind filling out your personal details, and start asking everyone who put compromising pictures of you online to remove them, or block it via the privacy settings.
Where's the time our teacher just gave us a slap when we talked in class, or confiscated the forbidden item until the end of the year, made us sit on our knees during the rest of the class, in front of everyone, face to the corner, and let it at that...[melancholic sigh]
It was harsh, but it learned me respect and discipline, so i'm actually grateful.
Oh, btw, i'm only 27, and from a western country (maybe useful background info here)
It is BBC, you know, they actually usually have informed articles, unlike some other newspapers of several western countries that i know and have read...
But it does seem like the article as a bit biased in favor of TPB, actually...
I really would LOVE to see even 5% of all pc users trying that one...
Wait, no, 0.05% of all users...
I'm afraid liquidpele's right, you have to
1. Bunde at least one browser
2. Set an icon "get a browser" where you go to a webpage with ALL browsers that exist (otherwise you're not being faire)
I got news for you... Unlike those in the shop windows, most do record, but just never use it officially.
Most companies i know that have cameras hold on to the tapes a LOT longer than the legal 24-48 hours (depending where you live).
That's the part that irritated me most...
How the hell can it be, when you're in the middle of f*king nowhere, you shoot/blow up/drive over/light up every guard down in that castle, you take a hike of a few miles, and when you come back... there's 20+ people again... What do they do? Crawl from under the rocks?
It's repetitive, that bothers me too, but completely illogical stuff really gets to me...
To the "devs", i mean the guys who took some nice wildlife documentaries of Attenborough, changed it in nice looking graphics for a game, and just copy pasted some stuff on it, damn guys, the graphics were good, a real pity you didn't really think it all through... At least, that's the impression i got.
A real pity!
Understood your point, and possibly i was being a bit negative towards the US, but i'm afraid this is coming from the "we are the best" mentality that's getting on the nerves of a lot of people.
I apologize for generalizing something that lives with certain citizens, to a whole population. I'm sure no other person in the world would dare do that...
Anyway, i can't comment on the countries you mentioned, because i'm not from one of those either:-)
I don't know about the United States (Stupidity?) of America, but here in Europe we actually get to think during our studies...
I mean come on, "academic world" in tv shows??? Jezus, the guys you see on US television are not really looked upon as "geniuses" here...
What you call "academic world" isn't even the real thinkers of your universities, for whom i have a great many respect.
I dunno, some of the stories ttoday seem more credible than others the rest of the year...
Damn, can't even type anymore
finally... i'm a member of the 7-digit UID club... OK, i think i'm can go back to being an anonymous coward now
More like Pokemon, you mean...
No, intelligent design put 'em there...
With you there!

"with enough moral fiber in his body"
We're talking about the same lawyers here, right...?

No joke, nor reference, just distracted...

Completely agreeing with you there erroneus. It intrigues me to watch how the empiric way of thinking has somehow never catched on in the US...
