    I support lots of Windows 10 computers. None of them are randomly crashing because of it, any more than they did for Windows 7 or XP.

  13. A clip is a metal strip that holds rounds together, so they can be inserted into a magazine quickly. The magazine can be internal like a Mauser bolt action rifle, or removable like an AK-47. A few rifles like the M-1 Garand, keep the rounds in the clip inside the magazine.

  16. Apollo 12 was the launch hit by lightning, and almost aborted. Very professional crew and ground control were able to handle the problem. Good thing there was an SCE to AUX switch. Sorry to hear that one of them has gone.

    Since 99% of an atom's mass is the binding energy of the quarks, I would say that would be a great source of energy. But since we don't have a pile of loose quarks sitting around, I don't see how that would be much use. We would have to expend energy to break them apart first.

    They pay to edit it (many papers need lots of editing, scientists are often terrible writers). Then they coordinate the peer reviews. It is then published in print and online, on servers someone has to pay for. Wouldn't you expect them to charge money to someone for all this?

    You go to a research computer, and access scientific journals online. A decent size library will have subscriptions.
