Because by the time you have a 90% market share and you still haven't recouped your costs you simply had a lousy bussiness plan, in that case patents aren't going to help....
This would only work if all p2p use were illegal... Although most likely most is, it can be used for legal purposes. Just like selling blank cds is not illegal just because most are used for illegal copying.
Simple: don't block them, just limit traffic to and from the ports the p2p systems use.
With a linux firewall this is easy to do with qos and such.
They can still use p2p systems, you just limit the bandwidth to levels not harming genuine educational use. This shouldn't be hard to sell to your supervisors.
the Ghz resembles how strong the radiation is. The higher it is, the stronger.
Thats bullshit....
The frequency has nothing to do with power...
There is one thing though: higher frequencies get absorbed better, but they also penetrate less.
The peak (goog penetration and absorbtion) is at 2.45Ghz which is the working frequency of your microwave oven. Above or below that frequency it is far less effective.
Does MS alow that in their EULA......
I would read it very carefully...
You could ofcourse use something free. won't save you much right now (since you already have an OS, or assuming it is allowed) but it will save you a lot of maintenance and thus time that you could use to build more than just 25% to 33%
I don't think its the W3Cs fault.... The problem is that 99.999999% of the flash you encounter on the web is waste of bandwith. Most OSS users don't like 'glitzy' they like the actual content which is absend on nearly all flash sites.
And if there aren't any powerful open source tools for it, any thoughts on why?
Maybe because most open source people (me included) tend not to like flash?????
Seriously if you are going to use flash you will also need someway to view it right? That means you have to get a system capable of viewing flash....
Which means that your nice community effort is going to rely on commercial software.
Go with something completly free (the speach kind), it will safe you a lot of money!
Clear enough for correct people - and if think different, maybe the whole GPL/Open Source concept is flawed...
No, it shows the 'Open Source' concept is flawed, its a buzzword....
The GPL and Free Software concept would have prevented such an prohibition and would make the source code actually usefull.
X isn't as bad as many think... A raw framebuffer is useless, you need some sort of windowing system ontop of it (unless you liked windows 1.0) in which case you end up with a system that looks a lot like X in the end. Add the bonus of being network and system transparant and X looks a lot better...
I think that in the case of a minor the parents are responsible, they have to make sure the kid follows the license. It does show how 'open' apple wants to be... They aren't. They are just riding the hype and profitting as much as they can from it. The moment they could have given something in return they backed out.
And if your cat comes in with 'half-dead rats' you can even sue him for circumventing your security. That is if you were unlucky enough to be living in the US...
If you had actually tried to read the 'rant' you would know that he did mention Abiword/Staroffice and other programs capable of partially decyphering Word documents.... He also clearly showed why these were NOT an solution to the problem.
BTW Sending people automated replies asking them to use another format actually works! (I know I was surprised myself...) I have had several emails resend to me with the text in a decent format. Its basicly re-educating MS users one at a time.
Look at http://motion.technolust.cx doesn't need a seperate motion sensor and the latest versions can handle multiple inputs even on a single bt8x8 card.
You forget that in a democracy you are the government, so they are destroing your papers also....
Another point is that you need those papers to check the government, you shouldn't blindly trust politicians you know.
On the other hand, if you look at the circus you americans made of the last elections this isn't very surprising...
It has been said before, but it doesn't take much time and resources to find out information for a terrorist attack.
The WTC wasn't difficult to spot in the NY skyline...
Because by the time you have a 90% market share and you still haven't recouped your costs you simply had a lousy bussiness plan, in that case patents aren't going to help....

Microwave is simply an indication for the wavelength of a certain type of RF.
Your normal microwave oven works by emitting an RF signal at 2.45GHz

I mean for a desktop OS, you dont really NEED X.
X isn't as bad as many think...
A raw framebuffer is useless, you need some sort of windowing system ontop of it (unless you liked windows 1.0) in which case you end up with a system that looks a lot like X in the end.

Not open at all, the idea behind the GNU license doesn't sound as bad now does it? At least its a lot better then this apple buzzword hype.
Jeroen
Hopefully it will learn the following:
Running into door + Dead animal = Headache

And if your cat comes in with 'half-dead rats' you can even sue him for circumventing your security.
:)
That is if you were unlucky enough to be living in the US...
Luckily I don't have either problem
Jeroen
> How the hell are you supposed to pronounce "Ng"????
:)
Just go to the toilet
Not if he keeps hitting my mailbox... neither my mailbox nor I am in the US :)

Sure, its called linux. It replaces windows' shell completly!

What are you going to do about that? making city maps harder to read??? They won't be much usefull to normal day use would they?
Jeroen
You would be surprised what you can do with the call trace of an oops and a list of kernel symbols.
No need for a debugger in the kernel.
