I was originally going to just say 'duh', but I guess it's something that a significant proportion of people may overlook. The analyst needs to have as much of an impartial view as possible to give data that is as unbiased as possible.
My thoughts exactly. If we want a truly free internet, with that comes the ability for any website to be able to do whatever they want with their site. If that included adding a facebook 'like' button, then so be it. It's their choice. Unless i'm missing something...
Except a black hat doing it for 'hactivism' isn't going to give sony any hint of who they are. No sense showing pride to the world when you've acheived your task anyway.
You're reffering to Linux right? or possibly OSX? Windows aero has that snap to left/right side of the monitor that works well with 16:9, or even two monitors. I'm not trying to troll, and i know it's possible to set up linux to do a similar thing (I used compiz, but that has its issues too). I dont have any experience OSX, so i can't comment on that. As far as i know, windows does widescreen best, at least by default.
Personally i hate M$, and all their practices, but i'm not above saying what they actually do well.
Is that taking into account messages over 160 chars that are broken into two or more messages? Just a thought.
In australia, i dont know of anyone that sends that many messages a day. The heaviest message-er (18 years old) that i know would only send about 20-30 a day.
Anon isn't one being, it's a collective of people. Some are nice, some aren't, and some do kill puppies and post that as an animated.gif.
Though recently 4chan got a bunch of 'summerfags', who i imagine are diluting the truly 'evil' anons that there are. It really has been getting more immature and the years pass by.
I don't think it would be too hard to smuggle a camera in with a circular-polarizing filter in it. And wouldn't it take alot more effort (i.e. money) to make the movie 3D?
Not that i dont think the RIAA are the scum of the earth...
There is the issue of alot of games requiring another console to connect to to play multiplayer (which i'm assuming is what you mean by team-building).
I'm not 100% sure, but if 78% of electrons generate electricity, isn't there still wasted energy before it actually gets to the useful energy stage? i.e. energy in a single visible photon (~700nm if i recall) is significantly higher than the energy required to jump an electron up a state, and that difference in energy is turned into heat. this would have the effect of reducing the overall efficiency to 15% or something that is much lower.
Is this true, or am i remembering bits and peices that are all wrong?
Well, in Australia with our shitty expensive services, that's what we'd be paying telstra for the same rates with an ADSL connection. Granted it's $AUS, not $USD.
I recently had my cat push a laptop off a desk, and break just the screen. I hooked it up to a crt, installed Gentoo, and now use it as a personal server. It's quieter, and uses less electricity. It has been a great solution for me, and wonder how many others could benefit from this thinking. But this article is sort of taking my idea a few steps further. It could work well.
I dont know much about it, but perhaps price is an issue? Is the Windows solution cheaper? I would understand why a bank would choose that option, even if I dont agree with it.
Anyone remember the Australian part of ebay attempting to make paypal the one and only way to transfer money for a won item? I remember that they made paypal mandatory in all listings as a payment method, then they tried to make it the ONLY method. The ACCC put a stop to this, but the paypal payment method is still compulsory for all listings, even if you dont want it. Perhaps the Rudd govt is planning on doing a similar maneuver? Push the censorship thing further than it has to be, and then back down slightly, so everyone is happier, but still have some form of censorship?

Isn't it Japanese culture to 'save face' though?

batteries actually currently take 4 hours to charge. the 6 minutes is theoretical limit. does that make it seem a little less 'too good to be true'?

I see some inconsistency between your sig and comment...

Couldn't have said it better myself. If only i had mod points. . .
I think you mean "the number of people using the word 'exponentially' is getting exponentially worse"
Sounds like you have asthma
It's a metaphor?
You sir, just blew my mind. We've been looking for the wrong things this whole time! it all makes sense now.
I can't help but think of the receptionist in Idocracy . . .
So you're saying that the key to Linux's success is to charge people for it more than win7? To who do the 'donations' go to? A support company?
It's called torrentflux-b4rt.
