I have personally seen Syracuse police driving around yammering on their cell phones. Hell, I have seen it in just about every surrounding area as well.
I'm glad summer is finally getting here, so I can continue to be a good citizen and roll my window down so the other drivers can hear me shouting at them.
Don't care, as long as it's not money that is SUPPOSED to be spent for looking at stars....and if prostitutes improve it's viability, then maybe we should offer some tax money towards them.
Likewise, the same driver is cruising along doing the speed limit, talking about their depressing day at the buffet and SLAM, drives right into the oncoming train because they were more interested in their conversation than paying attention to driving.
Honestly, they have cars that can park themselves, and my GPS can detect people in the lane next to me. The system should pull them over to a nice safe spot on the side of the road out of the traffic lanes.
If your primary goal behind the wheel is not driving, then stay the fuck off the road so you aren't endangering everyone including yourself.
I think it's just laziness. Rather than do it in a sensible manor, they just moved everything left. What they should do is like Win3.1 did and make it a drop down control box that closes the window when you double click.....actually on KDE, it is....so drop the short cut controls. (*I'll still maximize and un-maximize by double clicking the title bar)
I would imagine that a call wouldn't be made if the fall didn't do much harm.
For example, I have fallen off a roof into a snow bank and was unharmed. No ambulance was called.
However, I imagine that if I had fallen and wasn't moving it would have been serious.
As with anything, initial common sense needs to be exercised. It's usually obvious when there is no harm, and often less obvious when there is more harm.
Google Campaigne! Deliver political ads for the candidate they already know you want to vote for by tracking what you do.
I suppose if Google got into the elections and vote tallying business they would already know who you will vote for and it might prevent some possible scandals.... if Google wasn't politically swayed towards one party themselves.
Actually, that would be awesome. A grocery store with products people want subsidised by Google for data mining to sell ads. Imagine searching online and seeing things like Lettuce, Carrots, Croutons and Salad dressing in your targeted advertising because you buy a lot of salad ingredients at Google Grocery.
Watch out Walmart, Google is coming to town!
You can buy power, food, phones, ChromeOS Netbooks and more.
I was going to buy a Sony eBook reader last year, then noticed the eee 900 sitting next to it for $50 more. I love my netbook, but might still buy a Sony just because the e-ink is supposed to be gentler on the eyes.
I would like to see a distro of Android with Apt, and a repository for Open Source apps.
Gnometris, Kpatience, ScummVM, Pidgin (or something similar), Tango GPS, GPsDrive, the ability to sync with your Linux Desktop, or OSS apps running on another Platform (TB/FF) and a whole plethora of other apps. Use a selector like Add/Remove programs in Ubuntu.
So....who will be enforcing this?

Just hope that when she goes down, it's not the Blue Screen Of Death

Miter saws usually work better than table saws for corners.
Often it's the difference between completely cut off, or mostly cut off.....
Gimmie Three!!!
Cowabunga!
We'll see about this.
This is Google, who dropped support for IE6, so what they are planning might be the "real web app" you are referring to.
The Google icon should have a pair of eyes in it, cause they're watching everything.
Here's a hint: it's about supporting a standard that no one thought Microsoft would support.
I'm guessing Theora

I bet these with the right config would work nicely. It's a shame they come pre-installed with XP.
Canada made up for all of that with Dan Akroyd, Rick Moranis, and John Candy.

If Google could solve my insomnia, life would be grand. Right now it just keeps me up all night.

12 Volts, 1.2 watts .... my eee needs 36 watts (12V * 3A = 36 watts) according to the power adaptor.
For 31.65 + s/h I can make this Solar powered
