I'm using a 128 kb/s ISDN line, so it would take about 12 hours to download. However, I'm not at my computer 24/7, and my parents would kill me if I left it on overnight or while I'm at school.

  2. It's piracy on Metallica's "Justice" And Napster · · Score: 1

I don't understand the logic of people who support Napster. It's sole purpose is to allow the free exchange of music over the internet, so it is designed to pirate music, making it illegal. There are absolutely no arguments supporting Napster, and the "online community" bull is just a transparent excuse to defend piracy. Napster is illegal and therefore should be banned. Also, I'm surprised that more universities haven't banned Napster, considering its effect on bandwith. My brother says that his dorm's T3 line is slower than his modem because of all the people dowloading pirated music. If you want music for free, then get it from some amateur group, don't steal it from someone else. And don't complain about the price. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

I don't see how changing the libel laws will change anything. Even if it was easier to prove innocence in a libel case, it would probably be much cheaper for the accused ISP to settle the case out of court. And moving a site to the US may end up costing more if it is sued, as the defendants will have to travel to the US to defend it. This is just an example of everyone's desire to get free money by suing somebody else. And I thought it was only in the US.

Personally, I don't think this will work that well. While the soldier may get enough nutrition from the patches, he'll get really hungry. The amount of nutrition a person gets has nothing to do with how hungry they get, which is determined by the amount of substance that's inside the person's stomach. It could work, however, if coupled with something, anything to eat.

Actually, it is possible to go past the speed of light in a medium other than a vacuum, such as water. I don't remember what the effect was called, but the example I remember is that of particles from a nuclear reaction entering water near the speed of light in a vacuum. Or maybe the particles slow down upon contact with the water to below the speed of light in water.
