    That was a civil case where the anti-abortion group had a site had the doctor's pictures in targets and when each doctor was killed, they crossed off the dead doctor. This was a civil suit holding them responsible for the results of their speech which encouraged the murders of the doctors. This is different from just posting the information on the delgates -- without targets, without orders to kill, etc.

    If you have an infected machine that has an open exploit, you may be prosecuted since you willingly run a machine that is on the internet. That you didn't make sure that there was no open shares, ftp servers, or virus that might allow others to use your machine for sharing files.

    If I A few years back at the Philadelphia RNC a person from 2600 was arrested for using a cellular phone to commit a crime. He was accused of using the phone to arrange a riot.

    Of course, the entire case was eventually dismissed.

    If there is that much storange on a disk, it will only be used by movie pirates. And if it gets into the hands of consumers, it will destroy the entire movie industry.


    They must get Congress to out law this. At the same time, maybe they should have copyrights extended to 200 years instead of the puny 75 years. 75 years is not enough time for the copyright holders to recoup their investments and 200 years will encourage the creative people to produce more creative works.

    There will be hosts in Russia, China, Korea, and Brazil.

    We need to track down the spammers, take them to court, and take away some of there money.

    One lawsuit is not going to put a dent in their business, but when they have to defend 50 lawsuits and pay $10,000 in attorney fees to defend each one and then pay a $5,000 judgment, then it will hurt them.

    There are two problems with this: 1) AG's office can get the information is they ask, as most ISPs will help law enforcement; 2) An AG's (or most government agencies) office usually will negotiate some slap on the wrist. But, if you have 50 different people filing lawsuits against a spammer, it will hurt much more.

    When they cancel a spammer, make the information on the spammer public so that the spammer can be tracked and sued.

    But seriously two issues have to be addressed:

    (1) is it going to be safe similar to the claims of ?

    (2). If at any point (including) end of life, some unsavory party can break into the reactor and steal the plutonium. Even if there are alarms, the thief would be long gone before the autorities could arrive (if it is not the government themselfs doing this).

    We have spams of gigabytes of pirated software available, but the government does nothing about that. They even signed a bill that says that they CAN SPAM ads for the pirated software.

    When they sell the pirated software, it is clear that they may be an actual loss -- as opposed to just sitting unused on hard drives.

    Lets force everyone to know DOS commands before using a computer. That way, they would know enough to maintain their own system.

    One of the BBSs that I used to use, would allow us to drop into an MPM shell, but you would have to answer a questions, "what is the name of the debugger?"
