    1) inside the chip we're running 1 GHz hopefully the chip is a bit smaller that 7.5 cm ;-)
    2) The bus is advertized at 200 MHz and that makes the quarter wave antenna about 40 cm.
    3) To comply with most countries legislation any appliance must shield transmission of electromagnetic radiation. (Primarily to avoid disrupting valid radio, not to protect people...)

Quite frankly I certainly would like more of it. Not because ESR is a bad coder but because RMS does most for the open/free software hidden in front of his computers magnifying his guru status. Every time RMS opens his mouth he is flaming OSI more than M$. That is definitely detrimental to our collective cause.
ESR has very effectively taken a whole lot of the zealot geek status away. He is by far our greatest spokesman.
I has looked upon RMS with great respect and admiration for 14 years. ESR made that publicly viable...

    1) There is no such thing as bugfree S/W. Linux is good but not perfect.

    2) Linux and OSF/FSF has com a long way in a short time. Let's not loose focus now.

    3) "Bills Boys" will of course look at this and try to be even better where Linux is deficient.

    4) Linux is _way_ more stable than NiceTry, let's open that gap up even more by removing even more bugs.

This is nothing but a modern day variation of the bit-slice processors I worked with 20 years ago. They were at the time many thousand times faster than micro-processors but had limited real life computer use. They were used in specialized equipment such as disk controllers or process industry.
Over time some bit-slice technology has entered mainstream processor technology, to make them what they are today.
I think it is reasonable to assume that in 5-10 years we will see FPGA technology in mainstream computers.

The creators "owner" (the company or institution employing) gets little and the creator probably nothing.
