I would also suggest looking at the Univ of Washinton's "video on demand" site. http://www.washington.edu/uwtv/ondemand/ind ex.html
We are lucky enough to have the channel live on DISH NETWORK and I watch some of the programs . If you are interested in the subject they can be quite good. The ones on the BIG BANG and astronomy are quite interesting. Some explanation of "string theory etc"
Also look at the med stuff (UW has a med school) some sports medicine , some is fairly technical. This is basicly info from the guys who are doing it.
There is an old saying "Christian Science is neither christian nor science. Having grown up in a family with CS I find a lot of truth in the above saying. mike
Can't help but wonder if the other half of the business model is selling papers. The tricky part would be preventing your recently sold paper being flagged as copied.
I can see a time limit on the sale of the paper. ie you only pass the plaigerism test for one month. After all you want to be able to sell the good ones again, and again , and again...
Visit www.pirateden.com. I appears to tell you why
the stealing of direct TV is not "satisfying".
However it appears there is an interesting battle
going on between DirectTV and the pirates.
AS I understand it DirectTV and Dish use diff
technology. ExpressVu and Dish are the same.
Directv is the one doing the zaping. and it appeared they were doing it hourly for a while this fall.

Do not assume you can not get DBS if you are not
in the US. The Canadian snow birds take their
ExpressVu with them to Arizona. There are business
that "arrange " you subscription . Its about C$80
per year plus the DBS subscription (C$14.00/ month) The catch is the satellite is at 91W.
There is another DBS in Canada (and others) but
ExpressVu uses the same technology as Dishnetwork.
Receivers are diff but antenna set up the same.
Do a search on ExpressVu.
Besides Canadian TV has a more mellow feel than US
TV. Example: Watch the olympics on Canadian TV and
you find that there are other contries at the olympics besides the US.

A native Oregonian who misses his CTV.(CHEK)
I now wish I had run three runs of RG6 to each room from the garage.
One for local cable feed.
One for Dish network.(receiver in garage ((UHF remote))
One for ExpressVu the Canandian satellite service.
This in addition to a run of Cat5 to each room.
Tip on phone line: run a line thru most of the walls and leave slack in the wire . if you need a
new outlet cut a hole and fish the wire to the
box.
Get a copy of a recent Ham radio magazine,
(73, CQ , QST) look for a ham fest near you.
They sell old equipment, scopes, parts, probes
etc...
I have never been to one around here (Oregon)
where there were not 3-4 Tektronics scopes for
sale. (These even though old are the best and are not cheap).
I bot a cheap non tek scope for $35 and RF probe
for $15. Also a good source of parts circuit board
etc.
Whats the deal. This has been around for years.
I have one, the city of Eugene has one , the
state of Oregon has one. The admin has changed which may be for the better or the worse ????
Think differently Like those who know about

PS
It is still very good newspaper.
I really don't think dirty looks are going to keep them from leaving their junk in space
Ah yes SOMA to keep the masses docile.
That way they wont notice what is going on.
I got it tangled with somniferant.
Or maybe that was what Huxley was thinking of...
Does this seem strange to anybody else?
Soma ( if I remember right) was the drug of choice
in BRAVE NEW WORLD. Put you right to sleep.
They left out one important choice
"I don't even bother with tech support"
I can't help but think this would receive a
majority of votes.

For the same reason all rifles are "high powered"
, deaths are "untimely", and all are "brutal"
murders. Makes good copy.
