True, I didn't touch on the topics of why (westernization, extinction, etc.) or the impact on the culture.
Can a culture be preserved without its language?
Great. The sooner we can all understand each other the better the world will be. I'm not commenting on the merits of any individual language but on the fact that unity is strength, but hard. The more we all get together the better we can make the world itself. There is too much division.
Between Google and Amazon, I wonder who kills more projects and what their lifespans are. I remember waiting on Amazon's credit card swiper until they had a chip version. The rates were better than square and others. Jokes on me, they killed the whole program instead of making one.
I can't stand Inform 7. I tried it when it first came out. Seemed like a huge breakthrough but sheer level of pointless verbosity really made it inviable for me. For example, the last thing I tried doing was adding an extension. When you include it you have to type out the full name and even "by ". One of the many wastes of time!
This was a long time ago when it first came out, I can not speak for it now. Is it any better?
Sounds like SXSW saw the topic getting too hot and said 'forget this man!' They wanted to remain neutral and not get mixed up in something so partisan now. A no-win situation there as the fringes of both sides would be cranky.
From what I've seen there was 1 panel for each side.
#SavePoint by the open gaming society
Level Up panel organized by Randi Harper
Both sides were harassed. Both canceled.

I like summaries to summarize things. That way I know if i may actually be interested in the article's subject.
This fails.
This is written like a bad Saturday Night Live skit in which the punchline is that the subject is never mentioned.

I went from a lg optimus v (2.2) to a nexus 5x, missing everything in between. Why do you feel it is a step backwards from previous versions?
and the HMS pickle!

Analog watches are jewelry for people who want to make a fashion statement. Digital watches are for people who want a smartphone on their wrist.

Eve is the worst game in the world because it brings out the worst in people.
it was just the med-x drug. It was originally morphine.
