    I would speculate that it is impossible to teach kids to think- most teaching is cargo-cult learning with the hopes that some of them will develop into thinkers.

    They aren't teaching science- they are teaching kids about the kind of things scientists think about and do. Only a vanishingly small number of kids are capable of doing 'real' science. Hopefully our society will give them incentives to become scientists.....

    You really think that is what this is about? It's about getting them of the hook from a legal liability standpoint. Obviously they cannot control the client but they can control requests made through another web site....

    No s__t! A hiring manager at a company isn't going to want to get involved in a lawsuit, they aren't going to tell you that they know anything. Every person I have talked to to check on a recruit has been very candid.....

    Eggs can be a little tricky in stainless, generally I use medium heat and let the butter melt, drive off the water and turn brown before I put the eggs in.

    They have found the the flourocarbons in people blood and fat. Regardless of whether this is good or bad I would rather use stainless and a little butter.

    What do you have to back that up? I am a speed reader and my eyes have to travel over a much smaller area in a menu I can pick things out instantly. Icons mean nothing to me and I have to scan ribbon menus often several times to find things and the menu itself is over a much wider area.

    I wouldn't never complain about ribbon menus if you could switch to the old style--- yes I 'get it' but it doesn't work for me.

    She made it to her eighties? My grandfather died of Alzheimer at a much younger age which means I am at risk. If I can keep it at bay until I am eighty I will be quite pleased!
