Right. The earth has signficant history with higher temperatures and higher levels of airborn Co2 and somehow life prevailed. The recent cool/dry periods are outliers and resulted in the extinction of many large mammalian species such as the mammoth. My guess is the people in sub-saharan Africa welcome the rain.....

What book do you recommend? I do know that monsoonal rains in southwest are directly related to the warming of the gulf of California during the summer. The warmer it is the earlier and more prolonged the monsoon. What do the scientists in your 'book' claim?
I certainly don't want to eat the crap they eat.. I just listen to the dietary advise I got from gradma in the 70s. Starchy food makes you fat, eat your greens and avoid too much sugar. You know, common sense.
Except that if you look at a cross section of foreign students, they aren't always the 'best and the brightest' and come here for any number of reasons. Some believe they will be getting the best education at a certain institution and others may do it for prestige or perhaps as a path to citizenship. There are probably numerous reasons that I haven't mentioned but without looking at who is coming here and why the gross statistic doesns't tell us very much.
The converse of that is when they apply 'arts' to something that shouldn't. I saw a dental office offering 'Dental Arts'. Really? Who wants somebody to do a Francis Bacon inside of their mouth?
