Sure the graphics and whatnot aren't the same as the PS or XBox, but half the fun of the Wii is the moving around and simplicity of a lot of the games. Group bowling on the Wii when drunk with school friends just can't be beat .
"The author suggests there's a new principle emerging in the online world: 'The Internet does not forget, does not forgive and cannot be stopped. Ever.'""
So the author came up with that? Seriously? Pretty sure that's been a main line (well, at least a version of it) for the groups for a long while.
Reminds me of an episode of Sliders where they treated the people who are good at math/science like athletic gods.
Anywho, I was just at a university graduation a couple weeks ago, and I swear there were about 150 graduates for Social Services and Psychology, and seven engineers/computer scientists/math majors graduating. Of course we're going to get our asses handed to us when we just aren't pushing those sort of programs here in the States.
So I was wondering who Ray Ozzie is, and how about that, he's a software architect for Microsoft. Of course he's going to praise Microsoft's software, no? Summery seems a little bias, imo.
Simply comes back down to schools are a business, even the ones that get funding from their State. Higher rankings means more attending students, and the ability to raise their prices and get more money. Plus there's the application processing fees, registration fees, and all the other fun BS. Who wouldn't expect them to bullshit their information to get more people to apply?
The whole reason I even watch Hulu is because I don't want to deal with getting the digital converter box when the change happens, and it's cool being able to watch things when you want to. Having to pay for Hulu just ruins the entire great idea of it being like DTV with the normal free channels. Hell, I'd even be cool with more commercials in their shows to keep it free for me. Plus I can watch all the Firefly episodes on there. That's just awesome .
As a current college student, I can tell you alcohol is a huge part of my social education as a computer science major:) "Heeey (slur) babe, check this out. I coded a program that uses assorted math equations on a polar graph to create flowers that's constantly switching between designs"
Along the same lines as I Am Legend, there was that whole John Titor thing back in 2000 where the guy writing it said stuff about using viruses to attack cancer. Yay internet culture to science.
That's something I was wondering too. Am a computer science major and have spent a couple years working in IT, know a couple programming languages decently, but have no clue where to start for this sort of stuff.
Heh, I've got an old beat up car that looks like it's been through Hell and back, and could go back for seconds. Its got the lovely license plate "Dwarven", in honor of their sturdy engineering .
Solution: Paper and pens! But wait, what if there's hidden recorders in the pens? We're all screwed :(

"Fiber, also spelled fibre"
Fail.
Edit: Group bowling on the Wii when too drunk to drive/walk to the college where the real bowling alley is can't be beat. Smartass :p

Oh God dammit, I lol'd hard at work :(
It was a masters graduation for Fresno State University in California

I don't know what's worse, that I saw the image when I was 11, or that I was like "Wow, that's weird. Back to Diablo 2" without the OMG WTF affect

25 years of people waking up screaming in the middle of the night about those god damn Z and square blocks popping up at the most inappropriate times.

I'm sure Palmula gets plenty of attention.
Please don't feed the trolls. Thanks.
On the contrary, hearing about something doesn't mean it's any good, either. Just because everyone's heard of WoW doesn't mean it's that great.
Unpopular front*. We're nerds.
Some of us with shitty pasts still flirt and sing and dance when drunk because it's just fun.

So maybe it's just in my area, but I always heard the word Shim as a reference to a shemale (she-him). Helping with Windows transitions... hrm.
People are paying thousands of euros for that junkie phone? I have one . YES! may actually be able to pay for this year at university

Slashdotters aren't human, you insensitive clod. Humans are social animals, we on the other hand, are not.
