Where are the people who normaly say that there should be no governement control and that the market will decide what to do?

Hope you understand why governement involvement is needed.

I am not one of the people to whom you refer, but your statement is kind of stupid, and so I object merely on anti-stupid grounds. These corporations have their power because government gave it to them: both copyright and corporate existence itself are legal fabrications imposed on the free market by the government. If we take away both of these things, the government would have little reason to step in and "rescue" the public from price fixing, because the problem wouldn't exist in the first place.

Jesus Hairy Christ, a thousand times yes! I will pay $10 per episode no problem for Firefly. Is there anyone at Fox listening?!?!?! I will wager there are perhaps 50,000 others exactly like me, and 100,000 more who will pay $2 per episode. If they can find a way to cut their production budgets a tad (and why not? they've already shot a bunch of footage they can use for stock; they've already made the CGI models and textures) that should be enough to make it go. What's more, episodes sold on iTunes don't have to follow the made-for-TV formula. Make 30 minute episodes. Who cares! I'll still pay $10 for them.

Astroturfing bullshit. I am a business professional and I have been running Ubuntu on my desktop for about 15 months. I have never told anyone I run Linux instead of Windows, and as far as I can tell no one knows the difference. I get everything done that I need to get done, including letters and presentations (OO.o), artwork (GIMP and Inkscape), email and calendar (Evolution), chat (gaim), and PDF creation (ps2pdf and Adobe Reader 7) for document distribution and for press.

Now, it must be said that I do not hook into Exchange, and I know that's a breakage point for a lot of people. But to issue blanket statements like "Linux has a lot of catching up to do!" is disingenuous. Why in the world should you judge Linux by whether it can interoperate with software that does everything in its power to prevent interoperability? Linux may not be a suitable option for you, because you need to use Exchange. Fine! It doesn't reflect on Linux at all, though.

You could argue about the accessibility point, but the other two factors aren't improving, and they probably won't improve anytime soon.

All three of these problems are being specifically addressed by Nintendo with the Revolution.

Who grants the natural right to property?

This drives me insane. What are they teaching kids in school these days anyway? Natural rights are not granted. They are naturally yours because you are human being. They can neither be granted nor taken away. That's why you cannot sign a contract (at least, you can't in the U.S.) that says "I agree to sell myself into slavery in exchange for $100." It's not enforceable, because you cannot sign away a natural right.

Small rant: This complete lack of understanding of natural rights leads to a lot of rotten decision-making. As soon as you start thinking the state "grants rights" (it doesn't), you start thinking it's OK for the state to take them away (it's not). In fact, it's exactly the reverse. You grant powers to the state, and you can take them away. The government has powers only at your whim.

Anyway, from my own testing, it seems that whenever a stylesheet specifies a font size, IE will always render the font at that size, no matter what you tell it to do. Want bigger fonts? Too bad, the stylesheet says 11px, so 11px is what you're going to get. Meh.
