If you were to do the Bush Vs. Kerry election again with the knowledge that Bush won the first time, I would see tons of Kerry/Anti-Bush supporters going out to the polls and making sure Bush didn't win this time.
Then, Bush supporters would call for a "best out of 3" election, and it would be a cycle of neverending voting.
To make a totally inappropriate comparison: It's sort of like Jeff Goldblum's "chaos theory" in Jurassic park when he puts the drop of water on Laura Dern's hand in the truck and it falls in 2 seperate directions, even though it started out in the same place.
I just got the SA8000HD box about a week ago. It's better than I thought but still has many glitches. 32megs of ram/16 video ram doesn't seem like enough, especially when it has a hard time keeping up with the HD streams that come in from Time Warner Cable.
But, I have to say, it's nice to be able to record HD shows and the technology is only going to get better.
Oh, and 5 bucks a month for the box isn't too bad either...... considering DirectTivo is around 1000.
So here's my question. Who gets to pick who hibernates. Obviously we can't hibernate all the sick people, b/c if there are no cures found, then we have a bunch of sick people waking up. We can't hibernate the people doing the research, b/c it'll never get done. It seems that everyone wants to hibernate (for the most part) but such a system would be couterproductive for humanity and productive for only a few rich businessmen.
I always thought that if my computer were to kill me, it would be by swallowing my mouse, or becoming entangled in the cords behind it and not being found for days, eventually dying of thirst........ or maybe killed by a T-1000 like thing.
But nooooooo, now they tell us that we're going to die by dust. Well, me and my Swiffer Suit have something to say about that!
I've said it and I've heard many other people say it. "I dont feel like I learned anything in college." Up until my last semester in school, this was the case. What I did realize I had was a different way of looking at problems and the world. Compared to the HS Student that i was 4 years ago, I might as well be Einstein b/c I never would've been able to understand half of the stuff I do now.
That's what college is all about, learning how you learn, not memorizing facts. College is an experience that changes every part of a person, not just their IQ.
So, the first thing Sony does when it creates walking robots is put them in a chorus line. If that's not a reason for the robots to take over earth and destroy everyone, I dont know what is.

PE that is.
It actually comes out November 10th, 2004.
Hibernate is what their server is doing right now after the vicious slashdotting that it just received.

How are your fingers not ultra portable?
I can take mine wherever I go, in fact, I have to take them wherever I go.

Your last name doesn't happen to have the word "Clank" in it, does it? I knew a guy in HS that also wrote "Steve-DOS"
