bloody shite, where can one find that ominous gnome 2 snapshot channel in red carpet??? I just fired it up and it's neither in my subscribed nor unsubscribed channels....
only thing I have is Ximian Desktop, Ximian Preview and Ximian Untested... nutin' gnome 2..:-(
we have the spacewalkers setup diskless booting over the net...
imagine the size of the case without hd, floppy, cdrom and as another poster pointed out, get rid of the parallel, serial, ps/2 ports on the board and make itself smaller too....:-)
at this point you'd probably need a remote controlled alarm sound, so you can refind that goddamn thingie..:-)
And it was actually the screen
that got me excited, not the
keyboard-size! web/text
browsing would become alot more
usable as would the terminal!
(Grew up with big fat monitors
and hate line breaks...)
You could actually fit a decent
amount of characters on there...
But in the end I think it has
to do with form factor! If you
take it horizontal, add the buttons
on the bottom and the keyboard it
won't go into pockets anymore!
(Pockets are pretty darn narrow
if you think about it....)
But heck, I don't have frigging
pockets anyway, so I would go
for a horizontal one any day!!!
Sharp are you listening????
(and could I replace mine with
a horizontal one???)
By the way the keyboard is actually big
enough for me, though I have rather
small hands for a 6'2 guy...
Works perfectly for two handed
thumb-typing!!!!! Never hit two buttons
mistakingly at the same time as of yet
If you take the risk and plunge into
it, and a userbase actually develops,
you'll have your applications already
there and will be familiar with programming
it....
and on the other hand do you think a
user will buy anything were there
are no applications/developpers???
Just to doubt the developers follow
users point...
I think it's a mutual thingie
the wrist watch! Throw off your shackles, and refuse to be a slave to others notions of 'time'!
been there, done that, love it...:-)

If you bother to get red-carpet, their
ximian-updater replacement, you can
subsribe to different channels (basically
different software packages they provide
updates for, like Evolution-snapshots, RHx.y,
red-carpet) to update your software.
And guess what:
One of the channels is Ximian GNOME 1.4beta

The fact of the matter is, you either believe that anyone who is a criminal should be allowed to make money off of their crimes, or you are a hypocrite. So what is it? Probably that you didn't read the article. He wants to make lectures about how to prevent intrusion into sites. This has nothing to do with his criminal activities, except that both are made possible by the same thing. He is a freaking guru concerning security and intrusion. While cracking is the 'bad way/path'. Giving this lectures is the good path.... If a master burglar (hope this is the guy breaking into buildings) starts working for a company which is into making buildings secure. Then there is nothing wrong with it, cause who else knows more about the topic???? The same holds for giving lectures on how to make your house less prone to get broken into... so I think it's that you are completly missing the point... and another thing. that thing should have a
