For one thing, the general public have never even heard of Linux.
Most developed programs are never released for Linux, and it's always a surprise when large, non-opensource projects gets equal attention in both Linux and Winblows. There was no licensed dvd player for Linux for over ten years. Most games never get a Linux version. Let me know if you need more reasons...
Can I be #101? (Or 301, I can wait);-)
rodion and then samsa (without any spaces, or the "and then" part, the server is gmail. There, that should hopefully trick some spambots...
This is possibly the dumbest comment I've ever read on slashdot.
Are you saying I should never ever say anything bad about something, if it slightly benefits me personally?
For instance, if someone cut your head off and gave me a small part of the money in your wallet?
Or if a popular politican was killed, because he/she didn't share my opinion on tax levels?
Or if a mod decided to lock your account, because of your stupid ideas?
We already have advanced traffic monitoring, at least in my city. As soon as I even think of doing anything not pre-approved with my internet connection, the speed drops to almost zero. Or is this one of those newfangled car analogies?
I'm sorry, I didn't realize the media was always perfect and not required to check the facts of a story. I also failed to understand that they're not required to actually be more than a one-sided press release vehicle.
Forgive me also for not realizing that perpetuating an exaggeration is ok, it stops being an exaggeration after the source.
end-of-sarcasm
There wasn't 16k movies, nor 65tb of files.
The media exaggerates everything, the only thing they know is that the serverS (note the s) had a combined storage space of 65tb.

Aren't you forgetting something?
"In soviet russia, even cows play hockey"?
Yes, that does sound much sillier then, say, "the approximate length of an old kings foot".
Maybe 2011 will finally be the year for linux on the desktop?
TL;DR Here's a freebie: Learn to form normal-length sentences.
Why don't they just cut to the chase and load the drive with 20 different trojans instead?
Sony is behind this, so they probably have. Live long and profit...

Yes, because humans (without exoskeletons, at least the ones not made by the government) don't get killed by immersion in boiling water?!
I am a rock, you insensitive clod!
As if your culture isn't already obsessed enough with food.

That's because "1 million dollars worth of cocaine" would be around 30 kilos at the current price.
