Difference is that the NSA program probably copies everything on the attached drive, decrypts anything encrypted, plants a keylogger and backdoor and calls home when hooked to another drive with all the new stuff. I ain't got over the fact they are still sifting through the data they stole from the telecoms with their black rooms and diverting 99.99% of traffic through their boxes.
Actually I am an adult. It is none of the government's business what chemicals I chose to ingest. If I want to shoot heroin, smoke crack and eat LSD, while drinking beer and smoking a cigarette, it is my body and my money. The only thing the government needs to be concerned about is if I commit a crime, which is not in anyway tied to the chemicals I ingest. Funny how all these anti-drug fuckers would get all out of whack if it is suggested that the government monitors and prevents them from ingesting coffee, or tea or sugar or transfat or any of the other stuff they shove into their mouths and bodies, but think it is OK for the government to dictate what chemicals I ingest.
Lol, my state owns the liquor stores. You know how Jews don't recognize Christians? And Catholics don't recognize Protestants? Southern Baptists don't recognize each other in the liquor store.
It got lumped into the idea that addiction is a moral failing. Throw in the Treasury Dept War on Marijuana after prohibition and you can easily see how money, not public welfare, has driven the WoD. There has been a steady number of folks addicted to some chemical for as long as we have kept decent records, somewhere in the 5-7% range. Use of various chemicals rise and fall, but the percentage addicted stays pretty steady. And this is across racial, national and soci-economic lines. Of course, a quick look at history and archeology shows that mankind has a long love affair with various chemicals that change the way they feel.
Actually you are a moron. If a person addicted to heroin and a person addicted to alcohol show up at an emergency room with only one bed, the alcoholic gets it. Alcohol is a much more dangerous drug to withdraw from than heroin or any other legal or street drug. And excuse me? Heroin is used in many parts of the world as a pain reliever in the same class as morphine and dilaudid, both which were attempts at making a synthetic heroin. Of course, that ain't what the WoDers want anyone to know, so keep spewing your lies and untruths.
I would hope MS supports 32 bit because just about everyone I know who is not a tech geek still runs 32 bit systems. I personally do (not a tech geek either) and will continue to run XP until some game comes along that I want to play that my desktop or laptop won't run. Of course, I ran ME until my motherboard fried and I could not get a new copy.
Why doesn't Adobe just stop making the photoshop and stuff for Apple and make them for linux and MS only. That would kill a large portion of Apple's business.
A) he is not as well known or as popular as Micheal Jordan is now, much less than MJ in the heyday of his career. B)He has nowhere the near the skills Jordan has C) the only reason he got any publicity is because he skipped college and went pro from High School. Idiot should have went to college and honed his skills some. Then he wouldn't be as much as a suckwad as he is now. D) not everyone gives a fuck what some sweaty jackass does out on a sports field. I have not watched a sporting event of any type in probably 10 years with the exceptions of a couple of boxing matches.
Probably not. Most people either need the crutch of religion to give them the comfort of "knowing" they'll live forever in the afterlife or they use selective thinking to avoid the fact that one day, they will be gone from this planet. I do think the further a people get from rural life, the harder to accept death becomes. I am not advocating everyone living on farms either, just an observation.
I am in a great deal of pain due to a screwed up disc. If all the/. readers will send me $20.00 US, cash only, small bills are fine, I will undertake verifying this experiment myself, and will report my findings.
Hmm, I was hospitalized three times before I was 8. All because of "clumsy" accidents that always seemed to leave out the part where my dad punched, kicked or beat me with some object or another. I have no problem even today with corporeal punishment, but too many folks don't understand a swat on the ass is OK, while breaking ribs, arms and hand bones is not OK.
My folks tried to get me to go to school and not skip by offering me $100 bucks per "A" and a $500 bucks if I did not miss any days that were unexcused. This was before I went to OpEd. I never made a dime. Skipping today and getting fucked up was way more real than promised money in the future.
I was a fuck up growing up. G&T,AG,HAG etc, but hated them all. I would rather skip class and smoke, shoot dope and drink. I ended up being sent to the fuck up school, called Optional Education. You came to school any time between 7am to 8pm. You had a full set of classes, but you could go to any of your classes at any time. You punched a time card in and the teachers signed off on them as you came to class and when you left. You could, and this was back in the early 80s, eat, drink, listen to music with headphones and smoke in class. You worked at your own pace, and it was set up so that you could test out of any set of assignments. I went from the 9th grade to graduating in a year and a half. Which allowed me to graduate with the rest of the people I started school with, even though I had failed the 9th grade twice because of skipping and suspensions. But over the years they changed the system and made it more like a school with guards, with assigned classes, scheduled classes etc etc. The school's graduation and student promotion rate plummeted. And disciplinary problems went through the roof. There is a lesson there, but I don't think I need to lay it out for you.
The other side of the coin is that US copyrights might as well not apply to Chinese. They ignore them with impunity. I'd bet my last dollar that the ones (few at that) who are busted for copyright violations in communist china are busted because they did not pay off the right people or because someone else did pay off the right people. Nokia knows that DRM music is not going to sell, and that DRM free music is not going to sell that well, but any piece of a pie that you get when you were not going to get any is better than none.
In my state you can only file a small claims case in the county which the principle you are suing resides. I was served papers (the sheriff dept called me and I stopped by to pick them up)for a dentist bill my insurance failed to pay, and they sued me in the county which I worked, not where I lived. The lawyer was a bitch, so after about 15 minutes of bantering back and forth, the judge asked if there was anything I wished to add. I asked that the case be dismissed since I lived in a different county, showed my DL and he dismissed it. Lawyer was not happy, as she filed in the wrong venue and would not get paid most likely.
What I fail to understand is why America seems to get few if any of the best bank robbery events. How difficult is it for two people to figure out who the bank manager is, grab his wife one morning, have her call him on the phone and have the manager hand relieved 50-100k to one of the robbers in the parking lot. Two people, doing it this way once every couple of months, in several states, could make a very nice living.
lol, "cracking" the PS3 in the first place which required modding and the frequent power switching, in hopes of gaining a limited ability to peer into the workings is not cracking/hacking nor does it make him anything but a publicity hound. He might have some credibility when it comes to iphone(don't know as not into them) but in PS3, he is a rube and a charlatan.
There are about 100 people who make a living playing professional level scrabble. None of them are rich, but they can usually make 500 or so bucks a weekend most weekends, with a few scattered tourneys netting them 1-5k throughout the year and the wold tourney can net them 50k the last time I checked. I stopped play competitively when I saw moving from being ranked in the high 400s was going to take a lot more time and effort than I was willing to expend. I now only play tourneys if they are within a couple hours of my house, and I know none of the top 200 or so players in the world are not going to show up. That way I can reasonably expect to either win it all or place in the money. I played a two time winner of the world tourney once, and in 8 games he beat me by at least 100 points a game. Once by 200 and some change. But people who are not in the top 200 rankings are beatable by anyone who is in the top 500. The difference between a 500 ranked and a 100 ranked is the equivalent to the difference between a top fuel funny car and a 1968 VW bug on a 1/4 mile strip.

So adobe needs to get into the smartphone/pad business?
Yeah but their customers need their applications. it is not like there are good alternatives available.
Why doesn't Adobe just stop making the photoshop and stuff for Apple and make them for linux and MS only. That would kill a large portion of Apple's business.

education is what you learn because you desire knowledge. Schooling is what you learn to memorize in order to get a piece of paper.

I have all kinds of motivation to work. Shelter, food and heat in the winter are three of the prime ones.

Does anyone think this clown has actually "cracked" this? Sounds like his other "crack" for the PS3, which was basically not a crack at all.
