Why is there an inconsistency in your logic? Legalize marijuana, but outlaw or increase penalties for a different drug? What business is it of the government or narrow minded moral idiots what substance I ingest? That is the problem with the US today, small groups of bigots want to dictate to everyone else their moral and religious beliefs or assorted conservative or liberal ideologies. Fuck off with the "this drug is too dangerous" or "this activity is too dangerous, immoral etc" I am an adult with a rational mind, I don't need you or anyone else dictating my consumption of any chemical I may wish to take into my body. I am a free man, not your fucking slave or child. And yes, it is 7:02am and I have been drinking since I got up at 5:30am. Does that offend your authoritarian concepts of order and control?
I suffered from depression a few years ago. It was really bad, to the point where I was planning my suicide. A close friend noticed it, and made me go see a doctor. Where I lived at the time was a small rural community (less than 2k in the town) and the doctor was an old geezer. I had to yell at him to get him to prescribe an anti-depressant. IANAD, but my friend is a practicing psychiatrist who due to ethical considerations would not prescribe for me,but did tell me what he thought I needed. Damn doctor wrote me a prescription, I stopped planning to die and life got much better, until I tried to come off the anti-depressants. So not all doctors are pill pushing quacks, just most of them.
CFCs don't do anything to the human body except displace oxygen. No psychotropic effects at all except for the stated oxygen deprivation. Now they will give you some nasty frost burns that kill nerve endings, rendering you incapable of distinguishing hot from warm from "oh look, a blister" hot. learn a little more about the chemical make up of stuff. Because I have the idea you were commenting on people who were sniffing spray cans, and the damages associated with that activity are related to the contents not the propulsion.
I worked in the HVAC/R field before I started my own company, and it is amazing to me still today the way the brain processes information. I would rarely ever "plan" a route to the next call. I would just look at the address and start driving there. Surprisingly enough, I could get there quickly and with little traffic to slow me down, even though I would go the "long" way based on mileage. Another knack I developed(and it is common within the industry as almost every service tech can do the same)can tell you the drive time from point A to point B, taking into consideration time of the day, the time of the year(school makes a huge difference in traffic patterns), and do it in a matter of a second or two without conscious thought about all the details. If they can make a drug that would allow me to synthesize other information in the same easy to use finger-tip type of knowledge, give me a script.
I have the scan cards for every place I shop. Of course none of them have my real name or phone number on them. Telemarketers, they get my time, but they also must get my skewed answers. Same with pollsters. The fact is that staying under the radar does not mean that you stand out any more than any other person. I have not had a utility bill, phone bill or cable bill in my name for over 9 years now. They are always under a fake name, I pay a deposit then they will send it back via credit towards my bill after six months to a year of paying on time. I have two credit cards not tied to my real name, which through maintaining a small balance and paying them on time, every time have increased to a decent amount of available credit on each. My privacy is important to me, along with not being highly visible to any official agencies. My drivers license is always two places or more behind my actual address, same with vehicle registration. Live your life as you chose, but allow me the option to live mine as I see fit.
Is it not simpler to just run a whitelist? I give my e-mail out to people with the note to put "from (insert date) meeting" in the subject field. If you do that I get it, if not it goes to spam. People who are too stupid to follow simple directions don't deserve to speak with me anyway. People who get put on the whitelist get one warning about cutesy forward, touching stories, warnings and other assorted BS, then next offense they get taken off whitelist. I did give my mom two warnings, but then she had to go.
It is illegal to put anything into a mailbox except mail in the USA. That is why home delivery newspapers are placed in a small box attached to the post the mailbox is mounted to. Kind of funny, they can use a tack or stapler to attach things to your mailbox, but not put it in your mailbox. I got so tird of junk mail and crap being attached to my mailbox, I removed it and got a PO box.
But FluTrends just tracks looks for flu stuff on google. If large number of people start googling for flu stuff, looking for info about swine flu, won't that throw the numbers off by a large margin?

At risk of being modded down, I liked WindowsME. Once I got an update disc from Gateway it never BSoD on me again and worked flawlessly for five years. Only when my Gateway died, did I switch, and then to Windows 2000. I just went to XP a couple of years ago. Call me technologically conservative or non-geek, but I would rather run a tried, proven and fixed system and benefit from being a real late adopter, than be cutting edge. Cheaper and more reliable my way.
Funny. The company I worked for sells (yes, I quit and went back to school, but keep abreast of prices)R-22 for $58.00 a pound and R-410A for $64.50 a pound. They cost respectively approx. $180 per 30 pounds for R-22 and approx. $180 per 25 pounds for R-410A. For the mathematically challenged, that is a cost of $6.00 a pound for R-22 and $7.20 a pound for R-410A. I will let someone else figure the mark up for them.
The RIAA or M*whatever the hell it is would come, or have their police goons kick your door in at 4am, shoot your dog and terrorize your family before hauling you off to gitmo for waterboarding and coercive interrogation techniques.
why do students who plagiarizes deserve to be punished? Is their plagiarizing costing you a direct measurable loss? Can you show a real loss, from a fiscal standpoint that you or anyone else has lost a measurable benefits?
Why would indie artists that support free sharing of their music be high on the list at TPB? The artists that allow downloading of their stuff usually offer it off their website, not via torrents. I don't go to TPB to download the latest VLC or Media Player Classic, they are on their webpages, just as indie artists music is. Dude tries real hard in the article but fails to make this easy to see explanation.
Lol, stop by a couple of carwashes, steal the bags from the vacuums, mix them up and dump them at the crime scene. If you leave no fingerprints, you are good to go, because you had washed your car at the carwash where the bags where stolen. Fucking idiots just want another biometric to try and control the sheep.
Hypervigilance; it is not always a bad thing.
I am always surprised at stuff friends stick up on facebok under their real name, along with the habits they have, Same way to work, same way home from work, same place to eat at the same time. Come home every day at the same time, etc etc. Plus they have no idea of what is going on around them. Hell, I can tell you which car has been behind me for more than a few blocks, even two or three cars back. Frick asking for someone to rob them or knock them off.
Am I in an alternate universe? Is this the same/. that defends piracy, and goes ape shit paranoid when the NSA is mentioned, yet are saying 'Hey, its OK that Joe Jackboot, the local Headthumper for the state has my DNA. Can't too be careful ya know." Fucking unreal. Why don't the supporters of this advocate for internal state passports, that way the police would find it easier to catch criminals, oh hell why not advocate RFID chip implants for all babies born in the USA. That way there will be no question who committed a crime. At times, seeing what most Americans have become, am ashamed of their loss of testicular fortitude.
What the founders of the USA are doing right now. Could anyone make a cohesive argument that if we could bring G.Washington and crew back, that the first thing they would not do is start a revolution?
Because they have been arrested, not convicted. They can not take a blood sample from you in NC in the case of a DWI unless A) you agree, or B) they get a warrant. If a person is convicted, then it might be legal, but IMNSHO, immoral. Fuck, convicts have it bad enough once they are released. There is a BK in my town who hires work release inmates. All well and good, until they get released. At that point the BK fires them, because they don't want felons working at their store. And it is perfectly legal, but of very questionable morality.
TPB doesn't have it up, or at least I could not find it. Too lazy to google TPB(which works better than TPB's own search function) Hit a private tracker for copy, will post review when I check it out. See fairuse, reviewing copy of game so people will know to buy/not buy.
the trailer is awesome, while the game itself is so-so in the graphics department. Also the trailer makes the game look exciting and cool, while the tutorial shows it is a sucky(IMNSHO) hybrid with all the fail of both RPG and RTS.
That is probably a bigger reason for piracy than free as beer type excuses. My money is tight, and I have been ripped off too many times by great reviews and stellar gameplay articles. Until I try the game, there is no buying it from my perspective.
Don't remember bout Picard's heart, but Geordi's visor was way better than eyes, full spectrum etc. How about Star Wars, Luke got a robohand, after his daddy lightsabered his real on off.
Lol, when this news first hit, I called earthlink, got the scoop they were not going to cap, called my mother and sister and told them they would be changing ISPs. When they asked why, I told them TWC was trying to screw them out of their money. They both told me to come do what I needed to do to switch them. TWC really wants to piss people off. My mom called me today and wants to still switch to earthlink and get satellite TV. Fucking morons at TWC. When 58 year old ladies hate your fucking guts, you know you screwed up big time.

It kills more young healthy people than the old and infants and sick.
