You could buy it on VHS (come to that, I think i have it in the attic) - but its sold out, but some chains like Blackstar will try and locate a copy for you if you ask them: http://www.blackstar.co.uk/video/item/700000002299 4
I just wish that in terms of production values: 1) They ditch the catsuit for T'Pol. No real Vulcan would dress like that...it's degrading.
Actually that's your repressed sexuality that dictates that. I don't think its degrading, I think its unncessary fluff designed to bring in an age group which haven't got much money and is pretty worthless to the advertizers(but that seems to be the way american tv works) - but a Vulcan wouldn't recognize the 'degrading bit. They would be indifferent to what others though, and presumably choose to wear something they thought was comfortable. Of course according to actors those jumpsuits are not comfortable. So yes, ditch the jumpsuit, but not because its degrading - it isn't particuarly and american tv is about beautiful people first and foremost. Love it or leave it.
"Morality" caused somebody to commit suicide. Not only did this episode illustrate why the Prime Directive is more important than human morality, but it also showed (again) that the Enterprise really fucked up. It's startlingly different from STNG or Voyager where everything ends better for the good guys.
Nonsense about TNG - you should watch the series before you spout that (not the movies, they are lame action attempts)
Okay, that rant was pretty geeky. I just find it startling that people can be beaten over the head with information and still not get it.
Its not that the don't get it, its that they don't accept it as something intelligent to do. Like B&B just say to themselves, "oh well we can't write for this, infact we don't even wanna try, so we'll just invent this timeintereference thing, then we can do anything and not have to worry about continuity - and we can even reset everything in the final episode! Yeah, that's great!"
No it isn't great - not if its born out of incompetence.

at the moment few people i know use DVD media for back-up storage, since the cost is prohibitive.
I don't know where you're getting your numbers from. On pricewatch [pricewatch.com] I find prices to be the following:
DVD-R: $76 for one hundred 4.7GB discs, or 16 cents per gigabyte
CD-R: $17 for one hundred 700MB discs, or 23 cents per gigabyte
So, media-wise, DVD-R is actually cheaper than CD-R.
That sure as hell depend on where you are. Here (in Europe) there are taxes on media (mostly depending on how much pirated material they think you can fit on one)
One DVDR ranges from 4.5 to 6 dollars depending on brand and if it's - or + If you choose some cheap ass brand you can get 100 DVD's for 250$
Now for CD's, as the taxing is based on how much there is on one, the most common ones as 650MB since they are cheaper than 700MBs (and not so many shops carry them) - if you go for the cheap ass model again you could get 100 CD's for 50$
The piece says that Sanyo can offer 40% more on the disc by giving you 1.4GB while Plextor offer a different system which can offer you 40% more on the disc by giving you 1.2 GB!
I don't recall what files it is anymore. But 'fishing' them out of webpages is simple, but as i recall there are files Dumpster can't handle - full movies. Presumably because if you could open the atoms you could tweak the ones that prohibit sound export on some mov's.
Oh, well. I'll still see it, I'm sure, and I hope it's better than the first two (hey, it's possible, right?),
Only theoretically... when you read about Hollywood one thing that seems clear is that movies are made by comities. Everybody has an opinion and most of those have a lawyer as well. And there is always Someone above you that changes something. Actors, directors, producers, money men, the studio people. I think when Lucas was mostly an lucky unknown who got his movie StarWars producers, he was constantly overruled on a lot of things, so the resultant movie became the product of a synergy, something created by a lot of different people. Something that would be difficult to recreate once these people were splitting up. NOW he's rich and famous, and he gets everything HIS way - just him - and as it turns out.. he just haven't got it - nor the humility to let someone else take on some of the chores, someone else who could it better - Peter Jackson he ain't. So theoretically it could be better... but in reality...
Now corporations have more power than the cops, since cops need a judicial approval aka warrant to retrieve evidense/information.
Actually the cops seem to have more power after the Patriot act, now they just point and cry "Witch!" and zap you can be disappeared quite legally. The guys with the big bucks just want to be able to play be the same rules.

The benefits aren't passed on because the Music and Film industry are run by a bunch of greedy bastards.

I doubt even he could save Enterprise or Trek as a whole at this point.
... with the right captain at the helm (and i don't mean sulu!)
Its never too late
JMS wrote something like 95% of all the episodes. Are you saying he was contradicting himself?

Huh?
I noticed your smiley, but it is a BIG problem.
Hey Microsoft is like the US - when they invade the only you can do is cheer or get lost.
Damn, i hoped it was for MSIE
I really just wish that Mozilla would implement a "block flash crap from this server" option along with the "block images from this server".
I really wish Mozilla would implement a javascript model that was compatible with MSIE. (Oh, and native middle mouse button scrolling (I know))
Mozilla is a good choice.
Except it's not Javascript compatible with MSIE - this is a problem for some of us.
You'll write everything, eh? This is nothing new, I've been annoyed by them for a long time...

After they were slashdotted last month (and hated Slashdot in the process :)
Or can you buy a clip that looks like a walkman?
Jeff Bezos' secret space-oriented company, called Blue Origin -- which aims to launch tourists in a reusable vehicle.
So the vehicle is reusable... what about the tourists?
Oh, well. I'll still see it, I'm sure, and I hope it's better than the first two (hey, it's possible, right?),

a "remote" planet called Tatooine continually becomes vitally important to the fate of the galaxy, time and time again?
The spice must flow!
The only way to avoid that bit of knowledge would be for you to live in a hole in remote part of a forrest for the next couple of years...
