    Because you are comparing things which are irrelevant, it doesn't matter what the programs did or what the cost was - they violated users trust by just deleting programs on their computers (because yes, that is what it is - a small computer running Android)

    No. You know, and they KNOW that nobody reads that. Its to avoid lawsuits, it is not something people read - people have an expectation, and they didn't expect that google would turn big bad amoral creep and screw them like this.

    Who cares, that's after the fact. They should NOT have the ability, the "agreement" should be changed right now, and the next version of Android should have this censor ability removed.

    Don't be an idiot. They KNOW - and YOU KNOW - that nobody reads that. That's to keep their backs clear in the case of a legal battle - it does not absolve them of being amoral and on the way to evil.

    "You do not have to get your apps through the Android Market. Anything you install outside of the Market is your responsibility."

    Right until we find some other small print which allows them to control that as well.

    Got any proof for that? It sounds like utter rubbish, it takes a few seconds to find a vein (any will do) for a professional, and even an idiot should be able to find one in under a minute.

    No they do not. Some, a few, the idiots who want revenge to that. But most intelligent people knows that its not a thing a society should do, sure you prevent that person from killing again, but you haven't done something about the problem for society, what causes these people to do so will continue, and in ever increasing numbers - as is evident by the failure to combat crime in the US. Harder and harder punishments do not work, you are only making the problem worse.

    I suspect the reason they are doing this is that they can't really deliver the product they are selling, they have gotten by by hoping all their paying customers are not going to use bandwith - and now they fear they might.

    Two things will happen:

    Better providers will come along and provide unlimited roads for the information super highway OR mobile internet will die off.
    Internet didn't really take of until you had the all you can eat buffet - if its metered people are going to have the feeling "I gotta get of line its costing money!" and the mobile net will wither away.

    Personally I think all of these providers are way too greedy - bandwith should be a lot cheaper than it is.

    But then Google is working on giving the world free internet - so hang in there.
