"It's not restraint of trade. They simply don't offer the product for sale anymore. Why should a company not be allowed to discontinue a product? "
If they still require activation then they have essentially slaughtered the product - and they are an amoral company that no people in their right mind would ever touch again ever after.
Well, if you'd had an education you'd know that Switzerland is one of the ritchest countries in the world. 99.9% of them are well educated and have money. Unlike uneducated trigger happy dross of certain countries.
"Very likely. Not long after Charles Whitman started shooting people at the University of Texas in 1966 a lot of locals showed up to help provide suppressive fire with their rifles. That forced Whitman to keep his head down, and he could no longer shoot freely as he had done earlier. This was kept up until two people (one an armed civilian) managed to get to the top of the tower and shoot Whitman."
Of course if it was a civilized country where you can't get guns he wouldn't have been sitting there in the first place.
" Yes, the shooter was clearly out of his mind, and is to blame for the offense. However... we can blame the law for our collective lack of defense in situations like this."
Naa, we'll blame people like you who made it possible for him to get a gun to start with.
"there is NO way to guarantee that you keep guns out of the *wrong* hands. And since the "bad guys" will always have guns, it's wrong to deprive the good guys of the means to defend themselves."
What they really should have added was a way for the end users to resize ALL flash content - as it is the incompetent webdesigners (ie 99%) who use flash to make tiny unreadable flashsites always disable the zoom, so the rest of us can't read it.

Turkish politicians wants to join the EU, they think it will make them money.
Most EU Politicians wants them to join if they can behave.
Most EU citizens don't want them to join - each time Turkey does something from the dark ages more people don't want them to join, but the EU politicians say that joining is a long process and they have time to change.
o totally wrapped up in the idea that we have some sort of "right" to exist
Naa, its just that some people, oddly enough, care about others and think its bad that billions might die horribly because nobody does anything. we then turn a blind eye to it and against everything we just spent all that time digging up, and proclaim that the world should always have been exactly as it was on June 17, 1931, in Passaic, NJ or something to that effect, and that we must move Heaven and Earth to make it stay that way.
No, we see that the current direction will cause the death of billions if we don't do something, and much more importantly to the west it will COST us a fortune as societes are changed, and by trying to do something now it will be less expensive.
It has been warmer than this in the past. Much warmer. It has been colder than this in the past. Much colder. We know this for a fact.
We also know for a fact humanity wasn't around with our current level of civilisation, so what happened when there were only a few cavemen around is irrelevant.
And we know that there is NOTHING we can do at our present technological level about it.
Actually no, we don't know that. We do know that we can counteract a lot of it.
So why do we insist that we are the ones causing it
"WE" don't insist that, its only religious idiots like you, who can't be bothered to learn anything about the subject but just spout your hysterical nonsense based on what you personally feel who says that. What the scientists are saying is that WE are CONTRIBUTING to the effect, and that as step 1 we should stop doing that.
Have faith

tinfoil hat at the ready.
"People will complain that Starcraft 2 is too different from the original. "
It mustn't be too different, I liked warcraft2 but hated warcraft 3 which had totally fuked it up with heroes and all that crap.
And your link doesn't work.
Time they wake up to that. One job, one salery.

World of Warcraft started years ago!
"that XP had a Fisher Price interface that would scare buyers away "
It did but I figured out how to disabled it.
"it would only really sell through forced OEM installations."
When its forced on me on my next computer i shall format the harddrive and install Xp.
Well you are right of course, in the other countries they get them from america.
Begone!
As soon as that filter is in place, who really wants to watch videos of 10 year olds harassing their dog.

"More prisons, tougher jail sentences ... they don't work"
Sure they do, they make more criminals - somebody must want that development.

Which has been debunked as a swindle. Good game.

but I care that my children and children's children don't end up starving to death in a desert wasteland.
Well, I don't have any children and wont get any, so I say let them rot.
