    On my KDE Linux most programs are very good about making this distinction. You can even choose which option you want system-wide.

    Only one other commenter mentioned the minimum wage in AUS, which is $15/hour. That is compared to $7.25/hour in the US.

    I have no idea how the taxes compare and affect the actual "in your pocket" amount after all is said and done, but clearly having a job in AUS would seem to assure you of an income many Americans can only dream of.

    High income/high cost people also get to enjoy more mobility than low income/low cost people with regards to traveling and vacations.

    You can deal with super cookies by using an add-on like FF's BetterPrivacy.

    Even more basically, you can make Flash's hidden .adobe and .macromedia folders read-only.

    Your comment made be curious, so I looked into it and Chrome is indeed using the PPAPI plugin (which other programs can't make use of) on all platforms as of Chrome 23.

    You can solve the video playing problem quite easily with something like FF's Video Download Helper add-on or JDownloader. These tools can examine a URL and allow you to download any videos they find for local playback.

    Funny thing is, if you look at Amazon for used first gen hardware-BC PS3s, you see they currently command more than their original MSRPs...

    The original hardware turned out to be better that everything that followed in every way other than power consumption/fan noise.

    Just as an aside, I'd recommend Lubuntu for most P4s, especially those with less than 768MB. Xubuntu these days isn't so much a light version of mainline Ubuntu as an alternate full version (like Kubuntu is ).

    At this point, zsnes belongs in the "classic emulator memory lane", not alongside snes9x or bsnes.

    They could be just continuing the tradition of referring to ships as "she".

    While they people running the mission do not depend on the rover for their livelihood the way sailors depended on their ship, I'm assuming it's still a group of mostly men working together over a long time period.

    I would probably go with "it" myself, though.

    Obviously, selling bottled air is a 'good idea' if you can get people to buy it; but what possible sense does that make as a strategy for coping with pollution?

    The canned fresh air is a bit of dark humor. The guy selling it is a wealthy philanthropist making a political statement.

    There is no technical reason 8 drivers wouldn't work on 7. Vista, 7, and 8 have the same driver model.

    It appears the version of FAT16 that Win 3.1 used has the same 4GB limit as FAT32.

    Vista, 7 and 8 all use the same driver model. The only thing I can think of that would prevent a 8 driver working on 7 would be if the required manufacturer signing on the more recent 64-bit drivers was purposely not done for 7. There is no technical reason for such a decision, obviously...

    I have not investigated whether it is possible to run unsigned 64-bit drivers on recent Windows versions.

    No, H2 gas is going to react with O2 at ground level almost immediately, it's not going to get all the way up into the ozone layer.

    Ozone itself is unstable, it only lasts a few hours at most before decomposing. We still have a ozone layer because it is being created constantly.
