Neither TrueHD or DTS-MA are ever included on DVDs, so your ripping example is nonsensical.
Ripping involves re-encoding, so just reencode the TrueHD audio on your BluRay rip as you do the video. If you believe that lossy DTS is "CD-quality" then the re-encoded-from-losseless audio should also be entirely acceptable.
But should you happen to prefer that end, you could annouce it proudly in a comment, get modded +5 Informative and then make it a Slashdot signature memorable enough that it is brought up in otherwise unreleated comment threads like this one.
USPS has given all sorts of indication it cannot get along with UPS/FedEx.
UPS and FexEx drop off truckloads of packages at local post offices for final delivery by USPS every single day. The terms used for this service are SurePost and SmartPost, respectively.
Agreed... the best Linux desktop experience is at Xfce.
As long as you have no need for tear-free video playback, anyway.
Don't get me wrong, I've got XFCE on one my own machines. But still having this sort of show-stopper issue in 2015, on open source Intel graphics no less, is embarrassing to Linux.
Really, the only categorization issue that I'm adamant about is that Pluto-Charon is called a binary. The Pluto-Charon barycentre is not inside Pluto, therefore Charon is not rotating around Pluto, the two are corotating around a common point of space between them. That's a binary.
The barycenter of the Sun-Jupiter system lies at 1.068 solar radii, outside the Sun. Do you think they should be called a binary?
Classic joke, but it obscures the fact that an actual solution to these jokes exists.
Uranus's Roman name is Caelus and since all the other planets use Roman rather than Greek deity names in English, there is no reason this name could not be adopted for the 7th planet.
Opus has replaced for Vorbis for all use cases AFAIK, since it is better at low bit rates and equal at high bit rates.

No, she's American.

USPS shipping really ought to be included as an option on any US ecommerce site for this reason.
Wrong end!

Because the concept of "choice" is anathema to UI designers circa 2015.

For example I do not know any consumer SSD which has power loss capacitors (Intel 320 is not produced anymore).
The Intel 730 series have these capacitors.
Return it and get a different drive.
disabling swap (a dying craft i am afraid...)
If only Linux installers would get with the times and default to no swap partition when at least 4GB of RAM is present.
Then we could put that nasty "swap" business behind us entirely.
That's correct usage in British English, AC. Welcome to the Internet.
My Toyota doesnt run with a Subaru engine or MCU.
Bad choice of car analogy.

Also isn't your comment about a year too late to be relevant?
Indeed. Even Walmart is offering greater than 1080p choices now, for both monitors and TVs.
1920x1200 is no longer something to brag about... adjust accordingly lest you start to sound like an old person. :P
Playing a video with breasts in motion is actually one of the best ways to check for screen tearing issues... :)

Where is BeOS now?
Check this out:

Progress is very slow, but it's still going. Don't bother with the Alpha 4 download, try one of the nightly snapshots instead.
Jupiter emits more heat into space than it receives from the Sun.
(I agree with you, just playing devil's advocate).

I agree... but let's give a link, shall we?

6 on the left half is a side effect of the continued stupidity of staggered key columns.
He should have used a TypeMatrix as his base to work from.
No, there are four brothers. The youngest two are twins.
Long story but interesting: http://www.motherjones.com/pol...
The only planet whose north pole is not on the same side of the Ecliptic as the Earth's north pole is Uranus.
Venus's axial tilt is 177 degrees, that's about "not on the same side of the Ecliptic" as it could be.
first floor in British English = second floor to Americans, first floor in American English = ground floor to Brits.
Does this difference also occur in elevator controls?
I still have my PS1 (128KB) and PS2 (8MB) memory cards.
