It seems to me lately I am running across more and more people who only download from P2P. Even when they can help a musical group shove their latest album up the RIAA's ass and do more damage to that organization than just about anyone else up to this point. This behavior seems to me to be obsessive to the point of addiction.
This is why I have decided to start the Bit Torrent Crapulence Hotline. So get your unhelpful P2P infringing ass on the phone and call BTCH. The number is 1-800-P2P-HELP.
Disclaimer: This ad in no way discourages the downloading via P2P, of any music sponsored by the money grubbing jurassic era ass-ociation known as the RIAA.
This is a very good idea, normally I feel that using your enemies tactics against them makes you no better than your enemy. But in this case this may be the only avenue of dissent they cannot use against us. Just remember, do not lie, they will jump all over this and discredit a movement like this way too easily.
What I dont understand is how anyone thinks that stealing is in anyway dissent. When our forefathers had their famous tea party, they didnt steal the tea, take it home and drink it. THEY DESTROYED IT, so no one could buy the tea and forcing the tea company to have to eat the shipping costs for that shipment of tea.
I would have to agree that #1 seems the most likely reason. They dont want to get into the same trap MS did where people develop around the bugs forcing them to support a broken api because a bunch of hi-profile applications exploit a bug in the firmware.
Novell doesnt seem to understand microsoft. MS would not have given Novell any money unless they thought they could see at least a 4 fold return on investment, and they will take if from them any way they can.
Thats right, increased government regulation is the price of a monopoly. If it wasnt, nothing but "The Everything but Shoes Corporation" would be all that was left.
You got that wrong, MS lost a lot more credibility with their shenanigans. Instead of creating a viable standard to present to the standards board they tried to subvert the whole standards process. I bet that instead of revising the OOXML standard to be viable they are trying to think up other ways to subvert the process. MS will never get it.
Did anyone consider that he is intentionally doing this to get the record company to cancel his contract? I mean first he distributes his new album for free to people without his labels permission, then he tells people to steal his music. Sounds like someone who is trying to get fired to me.
I was in the Apple Store yesterday, in the 2 hours I was in there I saw no less than 100 new macs leave the store (and an obscene amount of iPods and iPhones, people are buying 3 or 4 of these things at the same time). And it wasnt just upscale yuppie types, but mostly average looking families. Plus there were people literally lined up to play with every display model (iPod, iPhone, computers etc) in the store. Not bad for 1 month before Apple releases their new version of OS X. Apple is getting a reputation with Joe Sixpack for building quality equipment that is easy to use. Most consumers would pay a little extra to get a computer that stays relevant longer and is not susceptable to all the crap that Windows is.
It probably wont be too long before the "Windows gets more viruses because it has more market share" mantra gets either proven or undeniably struck down. Apple market share is definately growing in the home market.
This move again highlights the lack of intelligence of the commercial media concerns. Greed, not brains lead this group. They will now introduce a whole new group to the Torrent technology. Smooth move! iTunes is easy, fast and legal. But then again, why let logic get in the way of profit.
about Stallman is that he once again proves it is a fine line between genius and insanity.
I never understood how he can rail against corporations so much when he works and gets a paycheck from a university that is essentially funded by the very same corporations that he claims to despise.
Don't get me wrong, I respect the man and agree with many of his ideas. I have been following his career since before he founded the GNU foundation (late 70s) and have even supported him on most things (free software is very important), but I also disagree with him on many of his stances also. I do have to admit that he has become less tolerant than he used to be and seems to be imposing so many rules (rules stifle freedom rather than promote it) to define what free software is.
Never forget that when you fight something this passionately there is a great and real danger of becoming what you are fighting.
What do you mean? Isnt a 4TB drive sexy enough for you? Turn in your nerd badge NOW!

Ah yes, the response used by all the most fashionable fascists.
So...does that mean it is now open hunting season on CEO's?
You do realize you are talking about one of the most armed serf populations in history.
is overzealous MS reverse-bashing the in thing now?
You must be new here!
ahhh, never saw Red Dwarf. That toaster sounds better than one with GPP though.
You must have bought one of those toasters with GPP.

I doubt any hot women gives two sh*ts about your cables.

or they will buy them out.

and companies like money
Really? I like money too. We should totally hang.
How about, "Ludicrous Speed"

There has to be some stigma attached to having the Chinese government tell you, you are being too intrusive on peoples privacy.
oops you missed a couple of words.

Am I still a thief if i have to pee?
Not if you turn off the television before you go pee.
Well put, its not fat lazy union workers that have affected the quality of American automobiles, its greedy, untrustworthy, cut-throat managers.
