    I completely laughed off any rumors of 3Com getting rid of the Palm line.

    This DOES make ythe most sence.. Let them work, but still have a leash. 3Com has better things to worry about, and the Palm line can take care of itself.. Now, if the Palm Vii Connected only came down to like 200$.. ;-P

    Not only that, but newer updates TO a distro won't automagically require a newer machine. What's Win2k's minimum, a PII350 with like 128 megs and 8 meg video? And yet even the newest of Linux distro's will still run perfectly fine (albiet slower) on a 386/25.. ;-P

    They do NOT pay that. Bulk licences bring the cost for them to like 500,000$.

    Yep.. That's how I first found out that it can happen. My father-in-law had gotten a brandy new speaker, and I started to crank in some medium res RealVideo stuff thru the 56k modem, and it all started beeping like MAD.. ;-P

    Err, problem here.. The PS2 will have graphics capabilities higher then any normally available on any sort of lower cost card.. I mean, 250-300 MILLION polygones a second.. I'd LOVE to see a dexcent speed emulator, but I'm not betting it'll ever happen.

    The prerelease machines are 25,000. The development itself will be (GASP!) Linux based.

    Problem I hate about the 56k Winmodems, is that if you're doing alot of things, it will CRC error, becouse the friggen DRIVER doesn't get enough CPU time.. ;-P

    Yep, there was. what'd be neat if this thing managed to run the Linux ARM port, and it DID have this kind of hub, that could be hacked to use TCP/IP..

    Call me insane, but they list this thing as having 2 AAA bateries, with a 20 hour life. Doesn't this seem a VERY long time? Or is that '20 hours, on pause, with no sound, in -40 degree temp..'

    I'm a bit confused.. Define 'Unfairly Moderated'. Not high enough? To High? Is not high enough any of the individual moderators fault? Or is this merely for things that where moderated down unfairly?

    ftp.rasterman.org used to have the daily snaps.. Check out enlightenment.org, I know they have a list of sites with snapshots..
