    Flash is Flash--you do it once and it looks right, no cross-browser problems.

    Perhaps you could explain why this site works fine in IE but there's just a big white square down the bottom right in FF and doesn't want to work at all in Opera. It's the Flash that doesn't want to work (plus it's an annoying ASP site as well but that's another flamewar).

    Dude the Constitution was written over 200 years ago, the world's changed just a little bit since then. Does the Constitution cover corporate indifference to the well-being of their customers? Shouldn't our elected representatives step in to prevent the sale of dangerous goods for example?

    More like lucky for them Microsoft were willing to do anything to derail the possibility that customers could move to other platforms. Were MS prepared to compete like everyone else then there'd be a lot less vitriol directed at them.

    All decisions? The UK managed to go to Iraq and the Eurocrats had no say in the matter whatsoever, which is a pretty important power don't you think. Don't believe the lies in the right-wing press; the EU has a lot less power over people's lives than is pretended. Remember that the UK press barons are terrified of having the EU impose sane Europe-wide laws on media ownership, hence the constant attacks on it.

    But in rich nations that abuse their poor you get spiralling crime rates and have to live in a god-awful gated community like some feudal lord hiding in their castle. Could you walk through the streets of Los Angeles or London at 3 am and feel reasonably safe? I never had any trouble in Frankfurt, Oslo or Luxembourg.
