The timing on this is perfect. With Sony's reputation going down the drain, handing out Xboxes is an interesting way to take advantage of the situation... Not only will people have to buy the controllers, game, Live, etc as Laxguy posted, they're essentially turning the Sony situation even more in their favor. Personally, I'd just sell the Xbox as I'm a PC gamer, but for the same reasons I would never consider an HP/Dell/"X" pre-built computer... Still, for college kids this is good. I'm still an MS hater though. Fuck you Bill!
The first 2 posts, including yours, were probably modded down by the same guy posting "CATCH AIDS FAGGOTS" flamebait... or one of the Apple-flavored shills...
I think the elderly are keeping tech evolution a giant step back... then again, I can't ask, in good conscience, for them to be ignored as I'm sure 50 years from now I'll be glad to use them new-fangled holographic systems without scratching my head too much....
Everybody calm down, if you knew anything about nuclear power you'd know that it's only a worst-case scenario to... oh wait, we've had all the worst cases happen already. But don't worry, it's safer than you think!!1one!
Did he set himself up as such or was his enemies hard-bent on creating a strong "the evil guy" image of him, justifying their business of going after him and all he represents?
Blackwater, Halliburton and a gazillion other entities NEEDED that representation of Bin Laden... even though he had nothing to do with 9/1..
Adding to the countless "why would you reinstall so often?"... I've had this install of XP since 2007, still going strong. Since then I've replaced the CPU, RAM and GPU yet the boot drive hasn't been touched since that first install. Out of curiosity, what exactly do you that such reinstalls would be needed, if they are? If it's only out of precaution, it's probably overkill.

There's no way that many North Koreans are well-fed enough to hold a conversation. I refuse to believe it.
I think I'm gonna build a moat around my lawn, just in case...
I know, people are very gullible.
And you fell for a convenient hoax, apparently.
You do realize that there's an afwul lot of money in pretending it's real too, right?

What if he DID mean the National Institute of Health, as in, Apple has lost their minds? ;)
What purpose was there to not use USB 3.0 in the first place??
Me neither, but kids these days!
I'm sure Slashdot has its share of 14-year olds just like any other site...
"Hello world! This is legit version! Yah!"
Same here... you didn't explain the result, you didn't get the point.
Can you imagine... Bob using DirectX 11 shaders... annoying dog will tell you about how fun it is to schedule a meeting, now with a bump map!
I, for one, welcome our quarantined overlords!
Ok, if that's how it works you get -1 for posting anonymously. At least I can take it.
Mod parent traumatizing.
I think Microsoft realized they may have won the browser war but

That argument doesn't mean much, nothing about WoW prevented people from playing it either...
