    Using books as a list of algorithm references- sure why not.
    Studying these books line by line is a monumental effort which is hard to justify, if the only thing you are after is coding.

    As South Korea is not accused of anything like that, it shouldn't affect it, at least not directly.

    This is, indeed, one possible explanation.

    A couple of my former-then-returned-back-to-company colleagues explained it as "didn't like it there" and "much stress", yes, you could guess their gender.
    I could never imagine that kind of justifications working for me, job is a place where I go to earn money.

    Those are just buzzwords, part of the known FUD campaign, not facts.
    AMD drivers were better than nVidia's for the last 2 years or so at the very least.
    AMD's GPUs took over much more expensive competitors from the past (290x vs 780Ti) in most titles, nVidia's simply age terribly.

    nVidia does hold the upper hand as far as perf/watt goes, that's true, but it doesn't change anything in 480/470/460 tier (and 470/460 will likely have better perf/w than 480) as difference is pretty negigable, about 40 watts or below.

    We'll see how it goes on higher tiers, once Vega chips arrive.
