I think you fail to realize as someone has pointed out earlier that most citizens are not 100% law abiding, most people commit a few minor crimes every once in awhile (j-walking,speeding, napster, etc....). since the the supreme court has already ruled in favor of arresting people for the hanus crime of not wearing a seatbelt, it could be used by cops to harras and target groups of people they don't like, especially if this system spreads. Well when the Pentium (4) and the anti-pentium( the AMD) mix, and are of equal proportion, they should cancel each other out. making a big black nothingness void on your motherboard. Canceling themselves out to zero. Well fingerprints although not unique as we once though still provide good evidence. I remeber reading somewere that about 1 in 10,000 people have similar fingerprints. they still would be crucial evidence if the over 100 people with the same fingerprints in the country never set foot in the city.

This technology can be made so that when the RIAA gives a search engine $100 million, they won'y point to bands not signed with them, no mp3s of indie artists. and the mp3's of big name artists which would be strategicly located, would cost a buck fifty a pop. Some places the line between jock and ner is faded, others it is sharp. same is true between most other cliques. I dress a bit punkish so usually most of the nerds will avoid me or make cracks at me if I try to approach them. On the other hand the jocks, although not too bright are very freindly, and they will accept me for who I am, at face value.
As for that kid who turned down being king, he has every right to. Its not the Jocks fault, not even the preps who for the most part live up to their snobbish steirotype. Its the schools fault, they are so quick to blame anyone who doesn't agree with them. They are such damn facists. Groups that get hit the hardest are the punkers and the goths, for obvious reasons. They don't want to be like everyone else and they flaunt it in the outlandish clothing they wear. Schools hate this, they also hate anything that would disrupt their precious football tradition(if they have one). Although Jocks are often hailed as heros, and other groups are discourged, this is usually not the Jock's themselves setiment, unless of course the school has a very long winning tradition. Nerds theese days are often highly respected, reason: it is assumed by the majority of the population they are going to get a computer jobs for an ungodly amount of money and become millionares by age 25.
OF COURSE THERE ARE NON-RIAA labels, yes and they are not owned by any of the big 5(the big 5 are the top level companies) the there is Epitaph, the offspring's former label(they released smash under it, making it the biggest indie album ever) there is Fat Wreck Chords by fat mike of NOFX, and many others, none of their bands never
get radio air play because the big5 own 90% of the contry's radio stations. NOFX's "Punk in Drublic" album has gone gold with no Ad's radio airplay etc...
think about this, and before it the artical of the NY Times printing hyperlinks into printed text, even more intergration with the physical world. yeah it might seem like a step backwards. mpeg2s on tapes, but think of it this way. Its backwards compatiblity that no one bothered to add until now
