Simply ridiculous where were headed - separate church and state otherwise we'll have battles and mini civil wars against our own citizens No company should ever be able to wield power like this - hence the reason why we needed to take the reigns over health care (no one wanted to do anything about it)

    If there was ever a case to NOT allow lobbying, corporations and the like - this is a prime example of what NOT to do. When an entire state decides to ignore science for the benefit of ANY industry - good or bad, it's corruption. We will have to then assume that either by changing the law via legislation and/or forcefully rejecting non-science ideology, can we ever hope to move this country forward. I can see it now - "kids, you'll not want to live in Wyoming - pretty place and all, but the water isn't drinkable, and all the animals have died - but there's good jobs because of all the fracking and such. There was a law back in 2014 that passed, that said people could ignore science to benefit large corporations, so they simply re-wrote textbooks to be on "their side". Now, the beautiful state of Wyoming is nothing like it used to be...." Ultimate example of ass-holism

    No matter how many certs one can get these days to carry (see below) and even if this shooter had none of them, this is the world we live in. The US (for the 1st time) topped more deaths from US handguns/weapons than ALL WARS combined that we've been involved in as a country. Nope - guns aren't a problem, it's those damned people.     Microsoft abandoned all reason when they decided on the panel-concept as they left the typical Windows user in the dark in regards to the bread-n-butter items like: Start menu, desktop, libraries, drag-n-drop, copy/paste, control panel, etc... Instead, they rushed to production another unpolished product (WinMe, Vista) that wasn't thoughtful to the typical use. Offering an upgrade for FREE didn't solve a thing and in many regards causes more harm than good (provided you can get the upgrade to work, and after it's done, it doesn't break more things than it addresses (WiFi)). For the regular consumer, this is far beyond a daunting task. I'm recommending all my Windows users to convert to Mac ? Why ? They want to browse the web (check) They want to view/save/backup pictures and videos (check) They want intuitive and easy to use (check) They don't want to mess with Antivirus crap anymore (check) They want a fast machine (check) They don't care about upgrading the mobo, hdd, or anything else (check) They want great tech support (check, check) They're tired of changes to the OS that affect how they work (check) They don't want to fix it themselves (check) They don't use it at work [ IT depts will never move from W7] (check) They're tired of Office changes - now costing $100 (Office 365) just to keep using it (check) They're NOT gamers (check) and the list goes on... They don't care about cost (see iPad and iPhone sales) in general, and are quickly realizing the world of Android isn't quite as great as it was cracked up to be; esp. in the phone market where many devices aren't upgradeable or quickly abandoned in 1 year ( thanks Samsung, LG and HTC) Enough said... we may also very well be seeing the death of Microsoft IF W9 isn't a wholesale change that incorporates the base-required functionality that Win7 brought to the table. Hardwarde is one thing, but the OS is integral - just ask Blackberry

In this case, kids learning the "wrong way" - typically caused by an adult of some sort. You want change, look to the parents 1st and many times you'll see why the kid is the way they are

    Many folks (parents, educators, teachers, doctors - practically anyone with good common sense) in general would say the same thing.... We look around and wonder why kids have issues in school and seem to be getting worse... 15 years ago, it was the gaming industry only today, it's anything on a tablet or a smartphone, and the gaming industry making the app We've literally gone through 20+ years of providing something to kids to take their attention away from what most should be focused on We've shoved god only knows what (drugs) down their throats for the epidemic that is ADHD and labeled them along the way. Society blames teachers - If more parents took more responsibility like this, we'd be much better off in general - especially when it comes to raising kids. ANYTHING that's done too much can cause problems - doesn't have to be technology like smartphones or tablets and apps. Moderation is key to balance - and when kids are loading apps that allow them to "kill" their classmates as soon as their cameraphone targets them using it's camera, we really have to look at the WTF? factor of it all.

    So now when the analyst hears traffic that Joe H. in Evansville, IN is plotting and actively planning an attack on US soil - they will not be permitted to do anything about, if indeed they can have access to that info at all? Nor will they have any capability to alert anyone - instantly throwing us back to Sept 10, 2001. Congress needs to be fired in 2014 because for the last 2.5 years they have failed at every turn in being functional or helpful... and contradict themselves at every turn.     Has he really done that? What do we want from our govt? We failed to act on "secret knowledge" that existed prior to 9/11 - and then it happened. We then put into play capabilities and allowed actions to occur at high levels, in an effort to prevent another attack from happening. Through two administrations now and two wars - we've not seen another attack on US soil and Bin Laden and many others like him are dead. This is precisely what we asked our govt and the soldiers fighting for our country to do. Do we really expect to read about what secret activities our nation is mixed in, spread across the media pages? for the sake of transparency? NO!!! WHY? CONTEXT - if the average citizen really thinks that only knowing half the story is ALL they need to make any informed decision, then we're all screwed. Personally, I say classify every damn thing there is - because treasonous jerks like Snowden just don't get it, especially in this day and age of giving every little piece of data you can muster. What he did was treason against the USA and as such, should be punishable under all the applicable laws on our books. If a soldier had done this - they'd be in jail If a politician had done this - they'd be investigated Flooding the worlds data wires with the intent of our military and armed forces is TREASON - it isn't FREEDOM of information, it's classified and highly sensitive info, that for all we know - will cost us more American lives today, tomorrow or down the road.     So now we can replace a cornea, a lens and much more in the eye - good thing, because all we need to do know is transplant the entire eye successfully after freezing it, and then tinker with the new ball - so John is really Susie WHY? do we need to go do an iris scan in order to get an ID on a college campus???? DNA, retina, fingerprint - and other types of measures make sense, depending on what you have access to. We're not talking nuclear devices, NSA snoop cam or the lowest level Bio-virus lab for the CDC - we're talking a college ID here folks!!!

    IN Germany, the teachers are respected and left to teach - and if the kids wander off, screw around, guess what? They're held accountable! It's the student that needs to be present and NEVER the job of educators to figure out where and the hell they are.
