  1. Re:Well it's official... on Stern Will Jump To Sirius In 2006 · · Score: 1

XM has signed 'Opie and Anthony'.

If you don't recall those are the two 'shock jocks' who got thrown off the air for having people have sex inside of churches and other public places during the show.

Neither XM nor Sirius will be free of puerile humor spewing shock jocks.

You would most likely turn to security, and paramedics that are on scene. They would be able to respond much more quickly to your family members distress than some random 911 center you get in touch with.

You -> 911 -> E911 lookup -> Local responding rescue squad -> On site rescue squad -> You through the crowd.

    or

You -> Local security -> On site rescue squad -> You through the crowd.

The main problem with cell phones nowadays are the issues of pseudo safety and convenience.

I use a jukebox FM recorder with rockbox / talkbox installed.

The system works well in speaking out menu options, and can spell/speak a folder name if you record one. The rockbox system also has user defined fonts and you can create custom what's playing screens to use an ultralarge font ( there are tons of fonts ranging in sizes from 10 lines fit on the screen, to 1 line of text takes up the screen ) to make it easier for her to see what is playing/browse the files.

However the buttons on archos jukebox/recorder products are small, and not really touch defined all that well. Also rockbox has current method of limiting access to menus/options in case an incorrect button is pressed. Not to mention the frail nature/high cost of a hard drive based solution.

Yeah TLJ was an awesome adventure game, and luckily for us back in February or March Funcom announced they were working on The Longest Journey 2!

I'll grab myself a copy as soon as it hits the shelves.

Opera allows users to set the identity string that is given out, so many an Opera user will show up as MSIE 5.0. This is simply because many pages disable all javascripts if your browser reports as anything non IE.

I do know that google yields exactly zero hits on the word - a suspiciously low number :-)

Well that's because it's SemiCid not semisid. Although I think that it may be called semisid overseas or something, cause a lot of foreign sites gave hits for semisid, though I couldn't find any packaging pictures to verify them.

Anyways I'm not sure how much of this stuff i'd send to a friends daughter. A gross of packages of 18?

I don't think that the drive bays are sideways, because down in the specs list it shows this. * Folding Teeth hides CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or CD-RW So you won't have to worry about any child who sees that case trying to feed it peanut butter through the 5 1/4 drive bays :)

i'm not so sure how complete that site is for accidents. I remember I was back at Great Adventure back in the late 1980's.. hrm I was in middle school so it had to be like 87-88. A girl let the ride 'lightning loops' restraints close behind her, and was ejected from the ride mid loop. She died from that and its not listed anywhere on that site. Also stories are on the news a lot about the Boardwalk rides like one 'wild mouse' roller coaster that had a 60 degree climb or so and the climbing mechanism broke and people went down and hit a car behind them causing some horrible G forces i'd assume, but I ride roller coasters a LOT myself and I say leave the G's alone..
