Modded for flamebait? Really? Webmaster is someone who controls the whole thing, and sometimes does his business on his own and even pays coders to do his stuff (those who write HTML etc). HTML/CSS Developer is a good title, and in description you can say what other knowledge is required/good for the job.

  3. Spambots on China Denies Role In US Grid Hacks · · Score: 1

All this info was based on the fact that some USA power stations have their IP's blacklisted on spam blacklists.

Couldn't it just be that their security isn't exactly in condition and they just got the normal spambots there? :) A lot more US gov places like DoD and military have got theirs too.

And to add to that, its 50x more logical explanation than the "bad" chinese and russians hacking USA power grids to do bad things.

Yup, I've never heard of Spotify and I can't imagine why I'd be interested in this.

I've completely changed to use spotify for my usual music listening. They have amazing library of music and it feels like you're listening normal mp3 files from your computer. Its also easy to share links between friends, like we do on irc and im's with my friends and on facebook with my gf.

Theres also both free ad supported version (that is usually one audio ad every 4-5 hours or so) and premium for 10e/month.

Its really revolutionary really. If you havent tried yet, you should.

Oh yeah, its not available in the usa. Enjoy your iTunes.

The funny thing is that Conficker does actually protect against this worm. When conficker infects a system it patches the vulnaribility. It will only be open for new conficker variants, as it will see that anything coming thru it is digitally signed with a correct certificate.

Its not only due to porn, but in general I dont like people snooping my stuff, even if its my gf. I could run everything on other account, but that seems like lots of trouble (I wouldnt pay attention to the main account then, and would always be just using the other one). I play games so linux on desktop pc is no option. For browsing I've thought of using x server (xming) via ssh, but its not as responsive and nice as the real thing. I do have the set up tho, I use it sometimes (and its really nice actually, linux apps work like normal on windows, but they're really run on the linux server)

    Finally some sense!

After I recently got a girlfriend I tried to make her use her own account, but she was always complaining about switching to it (and the login screen on vista took like 15 seconds to come up). I usually have all the major browsers installed (opera, ie, ff, chrome), while I always just use Opera myself (and chrome for porn because full screening flash crashes Opera). Eventually I just made firefox the default browser, while also installing another version of Opera to act as a front. Now my 'main' Opera is hidden and you need to go to its dir to start it.

The true beauty also comes from the fact that pressing certain key combination will make all my personal files and opera's exe hidden and inaccessable. Same key combination again and everything is back. She havent noticed anything, and I can shower in peace.

Spotify? You know spotify is from "bittorrent haven" sweden? And that its mostly available to scandinavia, uk and europe countries? Its still not available in USA.

Which I think is a great twist, finally something this way. Americans can have their shitty stuff, we enjoy this great service.

This applies here really good actually. Botnets per se arent illegal; users can install on their machine whatever apps they want. its illegal what you do with them. Even more than botnets it worries me if random people get the authority to access your pc and change data on it without you knowing. BBC broke law here and I hope they get some conscidences, because otherwise we see lots of people with apparently 'good intentions' accessing other peoples pc's.

Accessing and modifying data on other peoples computers is illegal. Better article written by a known security researcher Dancho Danchev, who also thinks it was controversial and illegal act.

Even if your intentions are good, I DO NOT WANT you using my computer or making changes to it without my permissions.
