They wouldn't do real time conversion because it's always better (for the seller) to have the prices at like $9.99 or $19.99. It would result in a much different prices everywhere, most likely as stupidly as $19.99, 19.99€ and £19.99. I know the points are priced a little bit differently in different countries, but it isn't that bad (publisher do exactly that on Steam sometimes).
Since I don't usually buy the points but pay with credit card when I'm buying something, I know the price exactly anyway.
PS3 uses real currency, but it's not automatic conversion - they've set different prices for different regions. I'm quite ok with both models really, since in both cases I know how much I'm spending.
Just liking some of the products and ideas doesn't make one a fanboy. In fact, I think Linux owns in server environments, and IIS is shit. I like PS3 more than 360. I do think Windows is better in desktop environment than Linux (partly because I play games too). I do think paid-for software model is better than selling your soul to advertisers (a la Google). I wouldn't ever touch MS's keyboards or mouses - I like my Logitech ones. I do like the Courier concept, because frankly it suits my needs better (laying on sofa conveniently using it like a book).
Merely liking some of the companies products or thinking the same way about how the software development is financed (paid-for software or subsidized with advertisement and lost privacy) doesn't make one a fanboy, even less so if you have critical thinking and can see past the "but everything must be open source by principle", or "no other than Apple for me!" thinking.
No it doesn't. Modern day games process games in different threads, so "lag" in drawing the screen doesn't "lag" things like input processing, physics etc.
The huge borders of enTourage eDGe really put me off. It looks like something from the 80's and only the other screen is LCD, other one is e-ink. While you can probably get more battery power only using the e-ink one for reading, a lot of other possibilities are lost for Courier's 2x LCD screens. And I dont really need that long battery power, as I'm mostly looking for something to use on sofa or bed. I don't think Microsoft has anything to worry about enTourage eDGe.
I really hope the announcement is Courier. It looks kickass, and it would be immediate choice over iTablet or other traditional tablets. Holding a tablet that is book like while laying on sofa makes just a lot more sense and is a lot more comfortable. And when you're done, you can just close it like a book. If it's Courier, Microsoft is up for a good battle with Apple. If it's a normal tablet, meh.
Also bloom and lighting effects you still have to do in game because they rely on game world, can hide objects behind that bloom or make other objects dark, and because monitor just shows the color data you give it.

I dont think we will get to a point that the framerate would be fast enough. The 3D monitors only generate up to 120fps too, and there's still lots of hardware limits to generate framerates over that with current games on good resolutions. And there is no framerate in real world; you're taking in images in realtime. Some argue (like the battle between 30fps vs 60fps) that human eye can't process more than certain amount of "frames" per second. The natural motion blurring effect and it's absence with video games perfectly shows that it can. While you see a smooth movement, you're still missing extra things like that generated by brain.
Because you're still looking at a single object, your monitor, and the picture and movement in it is artificially created. If you look at real objects moving or move or shake your head you'll notice theres huge motion blur effect. If you do it in game that has no motion blur effect, you notice how it instantly jumps to where you want to look at.

The article notes about motion blurring, and links to NVidia's page about it's technology. The last figure shows a terrain with full-screen motion blur effect, which in my opinion is pretty important in games to create that feeling of speed. People usually object against this and bloom effects and just want a sharp picture, but maybe some games have taken it too far. It's important none the less, even if it's not all sharp picture, because your eye picture isn't all that sharp either and you experience the same blur.
I know some chicks...will cum just with a good fucking, but, then lots of others, you need a couple hours and heavy machinery.
Licking clitoris (roughly and hard once they're wet) and they will come in just a few mins. It's fun to do that randomly sometimes when you're just about to leave somewhere, tho a little bit counter-productive for you;)
They're all random people no one knows, and frankly, people don't feel a lot for people they don't know. I think it's more stupid when people go "oh no, 50 people died on other side of the world - let's pretend we're sad" and then completely ignoring how many people die every die, and how many people die in wars and such. I can bet you don't really feel sad for the iraqi insurgents, do you? If you feel sad for a random person, you should feel sad for another random person too.
I don't think they're really thinking about all that during sex, at least if they don't have some kind of a problem. Most are just relaxed and go for it, in a relationship at least. Of course, it's a different matter if its really bad sex..
How do you study 1,800 women if they have a spot thats not visible? Of course, there's the fun solution, but 1,800 women is still going to take some time, and you have to actually learn where the spot is before.
On a more serious note, why do you have to make it so technical? Different areas stimulate differently and some are more powerful than others. If girls say that specific area pleasures them more, you don't have to make tons of researches about it. You can just believe it. And like with everything else sexual, it can difference between people.
If you are coming (as a man, and as a hint for slashdot's girls), stimulating the area between your balls and asshole makes your orgasm a lot more powerful. It's even possible to come just by stimulating that area, without touching your dick (I've done it). That is actually what's called men "g-spot", while technically its deeper in your ass, but you can stimulate it somewhat from under your balls too. If you're not up for gay sex, you can of course ask your girl to put a finger in your ass and try to stimulate it from there.
Also why not just experience? Girls tend to let you know what feels good, in a way or another. Or just ask her if she has spotted it and help you stimulate it. It will be slighty different with every girl, because everyones body and sexuality is slighty different.
If there's one area in your life thats not all technical and about science, let it be sex, and just have fun.
David and I however thought that this would not be a problem, as we would help ensure that MySQL would be bought by a good owner.
So it was really short-sighted thinking. They should had have some clause that limits how MySQL project would be possibly resold, or not sell the company at all, because its pretty clear that the project could be resold or go along with larger corporate overtakes. It's happened hundreds of times. They got to have known this.

Because of all the different currencies. Should everyone in Europe or Asia use dollar? Or should americans use euro or yen?
It's easier when there's a "currency" thats the same everywhere.
btw, you can buy with the exact amount. You don't need to add credit, just buy directly with credit card and you pay exactly the amount.
Or just buy it. There's both options.
.. bloat.
Just look at how slow IE8 is to use.

Remember that it wasn't done to get a motion blur effect, but to save in processing and drawing time. Motion blur was just a side effect.

Well you can always use alternate PDF readers, like Foxit Reader (and no bloat either)
Frankly, I don't see casual people caring about any of those 3 points.
Who modded this offtopic? It's rather insightful, and for exactly those reasons I won't be getting an Android phone either.

And black humor is old thing.
If it gets you 900 twins to test for if they have a g-spot, and you will personally conduct that test, the plan is perfect.

And the last one is really a man, but he got himself boobs.
I don't usually put my head inside a vagina, but maybe it's just me.
And the crowd goes wild..

Yes, that's more sad than thinking those extra-terrestrials have either killed us or drove us away from our solar system.
